Gonzalo Lira ‘s channel is the top Ukraine reporting YT channel, and he doesn’t even call Ukraine police far-right because he knows they are true-to-form Nazis. He’s on the ground, in the war, and he knows how they act and think.
That makes sense since it’s not really a “Neo-Nazi” battalion anyway. Yes, there are some avowed Nazis in it, but apparently they are a small minority compared to years ago.

I’ve you’ve ever lived among Eastern Europeans, even in the US, you will realize that they’re all nuts and are fighting ancestral wars to the millionth generation.
If you’ve ever had anything to do with the Orthodox Church, you will realize that it is entirely based on nationalisms, in some cases, nationalisms within nationalisms (micro-regionalisms, in other words). I remember living in one place where there were three “official” Ukrainian Orthodox churches, all products of various political movements in the Ukraine, and the rivalry was so bitter that there was actually a killing over it in the early 20th century and the priests kept guns on the altar with them.
The Uniates (Catholics) were no better.
But now we have Holy Ukraine and St. Zelensky installed in the Democrat pantheon because the Dems believe this cult will benefit them. I don’t know whether it will or not…although it is certainly being imposed by all the media and most of our institutions, including churches…but they’re getting in way over their heads if they’re getting involved with Eastern Europe.
The Dems think they’re using Zelensky and Eastern Europe to cover up Biden’s corruption there, but actually, Zelensky is using them…not because he’s smart, but because he’s a power mad third rate actor who has gotten the show of his dreams.
Azov Batallion does have a lot of Nazis - I’m not sure anyone in Ukraine even denies this. It’s a case of “the enemy of my enemy is my friend”. If not for Azov (which was grafted into the official national guard as a means to keep them in some kind of control.
And lest we forget - without Azov - most of the Eastern & Southern fronts would have already been lost.
