Russia's warplanes bombed Lviv and its missiles struck Kyiv and Kharkiv on Saturday, as Moscow followed through on a threat to launch more long-range attacks on Ukrainian cities after its Black Sea Fleet's flagship was sunk.
In besieged Mariupol, scene of the war's heaviest fighting and worst humanitarian catastrophe, Russian troops pressed recent advances, hoping to make up for their failure to capture Kyiv by seizing their first big prize of the war.
Moscow said its planes had struck a tank repair factory in the capital, where an explosion was heard and smoke seen in the southeastern Darnytskyi district. Kyiv's mayor said at least one person had died and medics were fighting to save others.

This war is about natural resources, especially fossil fuels; and the Donbas is rich in those resources. And your source for that is? Funny, because before Russia invaded it had widely been reported that the “Ukes” killed 14,000 in Donbas. Now it’s 50,000? And how many folks did the separatists kill, along with their Russian allies (yeah, Russia had troops in Donbas since 2014)?

Ah, YOUR Russia. Now we get to the heart of it. As for conscripting 16 - 70 year olds, do you have a source for that? Anyway, when your country, and home, face an existential threat, I would expect every male of those ages to want to join in the defense, unless they are physically unable to, or are cowards.

I’m not Ukrainian, and it’s not my home or my country. So, why should I? But if I was, and they were, I’d most definitely fight to defend them (and I’m in my 70s).

Strange isn't it. The visceral hatred of Russia is hard for me to understand. I've long felt Russia's invasion was a monumental blunder by Putin and I really feel for the Ukrainian people, but K is a scum bag too and this war is as much his fault as it is Putin's. The Crimea is Russian and has been since the time of Catherine the Great.
