The Center for Disease Control’s announcement it is extending the federal mask mandate for planes and trains until (at least) May 3 continues the use of the mask as the emblem of a relatively new form of what we might call American communism.
No real proof exists that masks actually work to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Further, airplanes are known to have some of the most virus-free air extant through HEPA filtration.
So the mask is not a medical necessity, it is a symbol of something and that something is acquiescence to government control.
It has become our version of the hammer and the sickle or the Mao hat. Some will wear it for the rest of their lives, even if and when it’s declared unnecessary. It will be part security blanket, part symbol of loyalty to the state.
Communism has always been elitist in nature, using the pretense of class struggle and the putative dictatorship of the proletariat to preserve as strongly as possible the power of the leadership and their allies over the people.
But old-fashioned communism does not easily apply in America. We are still a wealthy country.
Our version owes as much to Louis XIV as it does to Karl Marx.
Go to any fancy hotel or restaurant, even in free Florida, and you will find the staff all to be masked while the rich patrons go maskless. Who knows what happens on private jets?
Nancy Pelosi, AOC, the vast majority of Democratic, and alas many Republican, politicians deem the mask unnecessary for them, as long as we, the great unwashed, wear them.
It’s what we do that’s important, not what they do. We’ve seen this pattern again and again.
How anti-working class the Democratic Party has become, indeed creating a new form of communism without the bother of paying homage to the laboring man or woman. The Dems seem to despise them. The poor dears don’t understand equality… or is it equity? They’re not sufficiently “anti-racist” or “woke.”
But if you wear a mask you are—or signal that you are.
This April 13 action by the CDC extending the mandates can be looked upon as a harbinger of things to come. Most polling and political auguries are predicting a Republican sweep this November.
The Deep State, of which the CDC is an integral part, will do anything it can to prevent that.
Even if the new mandates expire May 3 as planned, this sudden extension creates an atmosphere that prepares the ground for further impromptu extensions to come, likely timed closer to the November voting.
These will be aimed at generating confusion and multiple health fears via one or two new COVID variants that suddenly emerge. This new danger would be used to justify various forms of voter shenanigans, especially the anti-democratic, and ultimately lethal, mail-in voting.
Wearing masks is a symbol of acquiescence to all those levels, that you have been indoctrinated in this new communism.
That New York State is requiring children under five to continue to wear masks is perhaps the most salient, even frightening, example of this indoctrination, beyond what the CDC is doing, almost redolent of the Hitler Youth or the Young Communist League.
What do you imagine these children think is happening to them?
Be on your guard until November—and after that as well.
REMEMBER in NOVEMBER!
DO NOT FORGET what they’ve done to you.
Do not let their sudden realization they are in bad shape politically excuse the last two-plus years of abuses.
They shut down your job.
Called many of you “non-essential.”
Closed your kids’ schools.
Expected you to live off $1200 for months while they got richer and richer.
Denied you the ability to be with your dying loved ones.
Then denied you the ability to give those loved ones a proper funeral.
While they let George Floyd have three.
While they went on vacation.
Visited family.
The hair salon.
They arrested you for paddle boarding by yourself.
They shut down the parks and the playgrounds.
They called you a grandma killer if you questioned them.
Suspended you from social media if you didn’t obey the narrative.

They called you domestic terrorists when you demanded your kids get the education your tax dollars paid for.
They mocked you when you demanded a return to normalcy for children.
They sneer at your concern over empty shelves and exploding grocery and utility bills.
They denied you the chance to try alternative treatments for COVID.
Then they fired you for not getting the vaccine.
When you stand up for your freedom, they call you Nazis and bigots.
Do not forget what they have done.
Do not forgive them.
They are hoping that, by November, you have forgotten the nightmareof the last 2+ years.
YOU struggle to make ends meet and the best the Biden administration can do is free crack pipes for “racial equity.”
This is on top of the woke, cancel culture bull they shove down our throats, the 2020 riots, being accused of racism and bigotry because we oppose their agenda.
As the election draws closer, they’ll pretend they didn’t do any of this.
They’ll gaslight us.

Blame the GOP (like they tried to when defunding the police went south).
DO NOT give them power.
They haven’t learned a damn thing from this.
You re-elect them, and you can expect masks and lockdowns and nonsense in perpetuity.
Not just for COVID, but for whatever else they deem a
“public health emergency” (guns, climate change).
(Remember, they are the very same people who ignore a pubic health emergency aka AIDS.)
They will trample your rights.

I’m seeing fewer and fewer masks where I live, thank goodness. And it’s been a while since I’ve seen a lone masked virtue signaler driving a car.
I got my car serviced and washed this morning, stopped by the grocery store and then to a local coffee shop for a caffeine pick-me-up. I saw only one mask the whole time.
Not up here in the Redneck Riviera. Masks are the mark of tourists, typically from the northeast and midwest.
They aren’t masks.
They’re muzzles.
Why stop at the mask mandates? Fun control and all the tax rules out there are meant to catch anyone anytime they want

sorry, but this is nonsense; five states, including blood red Utah, have employed primarily mail in voting for the past several national elections...I haven’t noticed that voting in those states has died...

Here in my part of Florida (P’Cola), there are still some people wearing masks, but they’re in the minority. Lots of store staff don’t wear them, either.
And they would be right to do so. Imagine trying to establish chains of custody for millions of ballots dumped in large boxes on the sidewalk in various locations. That must be a b****.

I live in Florida, where they’re not required and people generally don’t wear them. But I was at church today, and I saw several masks…ALL on young people. Very weird.
