Russia's Black Sea flagship which sank yesterday after an explosion on board may have been carrying nuclear warheads, analysts and experts have warned today, as a Russian politician said more than 400 sailors could have gone down with the ship.
The Moskva, a Soviet-era guided missile cruiser, sank near the port of Sevastopol on Thursday after Ukraine said it hit the ship with two cruise missiles. Today, Mykhailo Samus, director of a Lviv-based military think-tank; Andriy Klymenko, editor of Black Sea News; and Ukrainian newspaper Defence Express all warned that the Moskva could have been carrying two nuclear warheads designed to be fitted to its P-1000 'carrier killer' missiles.

Yes we could have been friends with Russia. Lot a blame to go around for that not happening.
“They are all in on their support for Ukraine and it isn’t because they love justice or Ukrainians.”
Kind of like Stalin wasnt in it to fight Hitler for freedom and justice wither. But the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Soros doesnt have nukes either.
“They want to push Putin into launching a tactical nuke so they can have the global nuclear war they need to cover for their crimes and depopulate the planet.”
That right there is kook land tinfoil hat bull crap that gives the rw the reputation it deserves..
But anyway,...
I thought that what the vaccine was supposed to do.
“if you can’t stick on that subject stop telling everyone that they...” are hypocrites....
Yeah, you’re right. Everyone knows that. No need for me to point it out.
Yeah because all you Putin kooks can read minds.
For example, I’m a paid Soros agent and you know exactly how I have felt about every military operation in history.
It’s ridiculous and I guess that’s because you’re ridiculous.
BTW my position on most issues match those of Donald Trump and Newt Gingrich.
The odds that your opinion outranks theirs ... nil.
You should slither on back to the Qtard thread.
Where they LOVE bullshit propaganda.
Agree.
Man where did you come up with that!?!?!?!? Epic is right. The model will be wreck on the bottom of the sea.
Many people, including myself, are against Putin and his invasion and for the health and prosperity of the Russian people.
I am not worried about Russia in the slightest.
“And they got turned down flat because they don’t qualify by a long shot. Odd you didn’t mention that.”
I didn’t mention that because it’s spectacularly untrue.
“An overwhelming majority of European Parliament representatives voted for accepting Ukraine, with 637 in favor, 13 against, and 26 choosing to abstain.”
The Ukrainians still have a lot to do before they can join but they were absolutely not “turned down flat” and it’s rather disingenuous of you to post something that has not even a shade of truth to it.
No.
I am being realistic.
Read what I wrote. I get that English isn’t your first language
The food situation was screwed BEFORE your guy decided to start a game of risk. There is little I can do, or you can from where ever you are.
I am not a bleeding heart liberal that believes that feelings matter. They don’t. There are people I have supported in the past that are aware of what is going on, and are trying to do what they can but again, the food situation is screwed no matter what. 2020 lite the fuse and no one stopped it (or can at this point).
You want to do something? Ask you handlers about what the frack the Chinese are doing shutting down most of their economy and food production over this. Or you had better learn Mandarin rather fast.
I agree. The Chinese aren’t doing anything at sea, not with literally thousands of ship crews anchored off their harbors and able to observe ship movements. Ergo there’s something happening on land. Looks like they’re making on a move on a neighbor.
And what country next to China reduced their Eastern Military District to less than 25% of its combat effectiveness?
Hint: It rhymes with “Russia”
Better them than 452 Ukranian mothers and their children, wouldn't you say?
He doesn’t have to have any, he has a great deal of power to manipulate people in governments who do have nukes. Not that he necessarily wants that but foolish people may think they can play with nuclear capable enemies and not get burned. On the other hand a nuclear conflict between the US and Russia would mean the end of US power in the world and his goal is the fall of our country.
The probability of nuclear war increases by orders of magnitude the deeper we get involved. At this point there is very little reason for Putin to use nukes for more than a scare tactic. But if we get directly involved and he feels the threat of NATO forces right at his border that changes dramatically.
This bunch around here are enjoying war so much they don’t care if there are loose nukes.
Now China is about ready to take Taiwan. Is Joe Biden prepared for that?
“Do you root against all who brutally invade a sovereign country?“
Yes, I was rooting against Serbia when they were conducting policy of ethnic cleansing in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Libya and Syria are shameful examples of USA being involved in military operations (not the invasion) that caused suffering of many civilians. Obama and Hillary Clinton should be prosecuted for it.
I didn’t mind deposing Saddam Hussein in Iraq or bombing Serbia to stop Milosevic.
In both of these cases USA built a coalition of forces from several countries before attacking and liberating Kuwait and forcing Serb military out of Kosovo.
All of these events pale in comparison with the situation in Ukraine.
“All of these events pale in comparison with the situation in Ukraine”.
The level of destruction did not differ significantly in Syria, Iraq or Serbia from what is happening in Ukraine.
And at least as many civilians were killed.
You Soros stooges are all alike.
It’s as if he gave you a script to read from.
He can’t, it would take several nukes, or another fully equipped 200k strong Russian army.
The mistakes Putin has made are self-evident. The mistakes our side have made are somewhat less clearly visible. And the only mistake most Ukrainians made was to believe that anyone was on their side.
I don’t know if Putin would settle for a deal where Russia gets to keep just the two eastern enclaves and Crimea, which they pretty much rule de facto now anyway. There are probably those in the west willing to continue to support Zelensky’s probable rejection of that compromise. But if he himself accepted it and conveyed that to Putin, then what?
It would no doubt have to be linked to Ukrainian neutral status but NATO has not made much noise about including Ukraine anyway. I would have more respect for our NATO governments if they made a strong appeal to both sides to settle on this basis. Otherwise if they expect a complete withdrawal of Russia from even those areas, this will likely drag on for quite a long time. If Putin would not settle on this basis, then he clearly over-reaches and that would be about as far as we could reasonably go, probably further than he deserves but realpolitik sometimes requires distasteful solutions to avoid worse catastrophes on a larger scale.
I can’t see how anybody, globalist or Putin or Ukrainian nationalist gains anything from a long continuation of this mess. It is actually a war that nobody can win and everybody can lose.
