President Joe Biden’s approval rating sank to a new low of 33%, according to a new Quinnipiac poll.
The April poll found 33% of voters approved of Biden’s handling as president, while 54% disapproved. Broken down by party lines, Republicans disapprove 93-3%. Democrats approve 76-12%.
More than half of Independent voters disapprove of the 46th president’s handling, with only 26% offering approval.
The Quinnipiac poll surveyed 1,412 U.S. adults nationwide from April 7th – 11th. The margin of error was +/- 2.6 percentage points.
Biden’s support has waned in recent months among Independent and Hispanic voters.
A December poll from The Wall Street Journal found Republicans have made rapid gains with the Hispanic voting demographic. When asked which party they would back if the 2022 Congressional midterm election were today, 37% of Hispanic voters said they would support the Republican congressional candidate, and 37% said they would favor the Democrat. Democratic pollster John Anzalone, whose company conducted The Wall Street Journal poll, along with the firm of Republican pollster Tony Fabrizio, said the Hispanic vote is something “we’re going to have to fight for.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded to a question Monday, asking about the president’s low approval ratings. “I think that the president recognizes that the country is still grappling with a small number of challenges that impact people and their everyday lives, whether that is a continuing fight with a pandemic that has been going on for several years or the fact that costs are going up. Some of those are a result of the actions of President Putin — yes, as it relates to gas prices — but others are related to impacts of COVID-19 and impacts on the supply chain.”
“So, what our focus is and his focus continues to be: on solutions to address these challenges, and keeping our heads down and trying to continue to deliver for the American people,” she added.
As long as Uncle Joe continues to get his ice cream and play with electric cars and trucks, he doesn’t care what his approval rating is.

I am trying to imagine what could save Biden. only the economy roaring back between now and 2024, with inflation under control and gas prices much lower.

So she doesn’t even know for sure if biden is aware of a ‘small number’ of challenges? This is way beyond Carter admin levels of ‘consider yourself lucky it’s not worse’ governing.
Potatohead’s popularity (outside of China) is

That cannot “sink” to “33%”, short of LSD.
As I look at inflation and illegal immigration and the price of gas, I find it difficult to believe that 76% of DemocRats think that senile Joe is doing a good job.
I switched to Independent after the Big Steal just to mess with their metrics.

Until Trump’s 3rd year he was sailing for a pretty easy ride, then covid kicked in and I don’t think any admin could’ve won at that point. 2024 is still pretty far away so anything can happen, but 2022 is looking like a dem apocalypse.

And yet, there are still 33% of Americans that approve! That’s a big number.
In my area, the only Biden stickers I see on cars are usually buried amongst a couple dozen “crazy cat lady” and “rainbow” stickers.
So if it really can’t get worse he might as well go for broke against Russia and actually enforce truly punishing sanctions. The economy would temporarily upend but it would show the guy with a semblance of a moral principle for once.
How could this be when standing up to bully putin and supporting ukraine is the most popular position ever?
It’s just a fact that 1/3 of American voters are clueless, unreachable idiots so 33% is probably the floor. In his Lucid moments Biden does not care about the numbers. He has never had good numbers. He intends to use the luxury of being a one termer to do as much damage as possible.
