Former President Trump will rally supporters in Ohio later this month amid the state’s chaotic race for the Republican nomination to replace the retiring Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio).
The rally is set to take place on April 23 in the town of Delaware, near Columbus, according to an announcement from his leadership PAC Save America.
Exactly who will join Trump at the rally hasn’t yet been announced, though the event could set the stage for the former president’s intervention in Ohio’s hotly contested GOP Senate primary.
Several Republicans are vying for the nomination to succeed Portman, including author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance, businessman Mike Gibbons, former state Treasurer Josh Mandel and former Ohio GOP Chair Jane Timken.

I enjoy seeing his rallies, because the media always turn themselves inside out to convince us that we really didn’t see the thousands of people who turn out for the rallies. They always try to convince us that Pence, Cheney, Kinzinger, Hogan, Christie, and others are the real powers, when we know that if you combined their “crowds” over the last year that total wouldn’t even match a single Trump rally.
He has wisely not endorsed in this race.
Vance is part of Thiel’s crew (vs Rove) and has all of the momentum. If Trump forgives his previous statements, so do I.
JD Vance is supported by Tucker Carlson, Breitbart and Don Jr as the America First Candidate. Mandel who has never worked in the private sector and was going to chest bump Gibbons at the last debate is supported by Mark Levin, Cruz, and Rubio as the more traditional Republican. Trump said at the NC rally he would be endorsing someone in OH soon. It should be JD.
I’ve been to Delaware, an old college town, home of Ohio Wesleyan University.
It better not be Timken. She is a Portman stooge.
And she speaks like a high schooler on stage for the first time in her life!
But lately, there has been a real Timken pull. It is certainly not grass roots.
The level of Trump support after years of abuse and censorship is amazing.
I wish he would lead an Article V Convention of the States.
I wonder if it is safe to hold a Trump rally in a college town. But it’s a small college (1500 students, 200 faculty).
It is easy to support Trump when you take a look at his accomplishments as President. It is a no-brainer. Conversely, we have seen where his endorsements have not always been the best and we have certainly have seen that he didn’t fire people who backstabbed Trump and MAGA (us). Trump has a lot of people whispering in his ears about who to endorse and not endorse. Those people do not include you. Please do due diligence on any candidate that you vote whether they have or do not have an endorsement from Trump.
Simple solution: Keep the Methodists out.
