Putin is awful.

You can take Putin out of the KGB, but you can’t take the KGB out of Putin.

“Russia is already boarded by 3 NATO countries: Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.”

Don’t forget Poland. Kaliningrad, which is the westernmost Russian land in Europe, is wedged between Poland and Lithuania, both NATO countries. And Kaliningrad is armed to the teeth.

We wouldn't tolerate Mexico being heavily-armed and aligned with either Russia or China.

Mexico has been aligned with China since 1983, I know for sure. Tried to take my Taiwanese girlfriend down there to visit in that year and she was refused entry at three different ports and the "mordida" offer was refused. They simply would not let her in the country due to their alignment with China.

It isn’t just Putin....it’s Russia. He’s supported by 80 percent of the populous.

This won’t end well for everyone.

Why would a country even need to join NATO? Oh yea, there is that. A world with Putin and CCP in it.

Some countries (and individuals) think like this:

“In the end, you shall lose everything you hold of value in this world, your wealth, your possessions, your freedoms, your friends, your family, your youth, even your life itself. But before you surrender them, make those who try to take them from you pay an extreme price for every little scrap they grasp for.” – Source not known

They openly admit that Ukraine destroys to be not just invaded, but I think they really want them completely obliterated off the map to the last person, cat, or dog. Probably due to something Trump might’ve said at some point, or maybe they’re just paid trolls? It’s impossible to tell at this point.

“Russia, on the other hand, has a long history of invading her neighbors. Every country bordering Russia in the west has experienced a repressive Russian occupation. The reason for NATO and the reason for new countries clamoring to join NATO is because of this fact. If Russia were as benign in her sphere as the US is in hers, none of these nations would be interested in joining NATO.”

That’s a fact.

We’re not doing anything that would cause Mexico to seek protection from us so this comparison is not even remotely valid.

You are so profoundly incorrect on this one, there's no remedy. If the U.S. would hire me to get intelligence on Mexico's relationship with China, we would see. However, they are depending upon incompetents to provide intel, or, they're in on it.

I agree. The reason a lot of people simply don’t get this is that they have a 1959 world view. They still see “Russia” as the bad guy and the rest of us as the good guy. That’s not the world we live in any more. There is a LOT of blame to go around.
