President Joe Biden suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin was a “dictator” guilty of “genocide” in a speech on Tuesday.
“Your family budget, your ability to fill up your tank, none of it should hinge on whether a dictator declares war and commits genocide a half a world away,” Biden said during a speech in Iowa on Tuesday.
This is the first time that Biden has suggested that Putin is committing “genocide,” a term the administration has steered clear from as they continue to condemn Russia’s escalation of the war in Ukraine
