The United States Postal Service has suspended services in one neighborhood in Santa Monica, California because of repeated attacks on mail carriers since January, according to a report.

There are a lot of countries I’ll never visit. A short list:

Iran, Sudan, California, New Jersey.

I see the US as similar to the EU. It is 50 “mostly sovereign” countries. And quite a few of them are proving to be places to be avoided.

Escort mail carriers with armed fed law enforcement and terminate those that attack mail carriers. Those not involved in the violence should get their mail delivery.

I find this report surprising. No, I’m not surprised that people (druggies?) are attacking letter carriers. But I am surprised that the USPS is not taking the easy way out by just ignoring the problem.

Just yesterday......as in Yesterday, we saw an Amazon truck in our neighborhood and I asked my wife.....”I wonder why we don’t see more attacks on these Amazon trucks?”

There are a few I will begrudgingly consider visiting, only because I have kids and grandkids there. e.g. Washington state (My birthplace).

If you read the article, you will understand the perp is well-known. But nobody dares take any action, including law enforcement. The criminal class is evidently in charge in this neighborhood.

One last walk-through by the Postal Service while escorted by U.S. marshals; to drop a card in everyone's mailbox telling them that going forward they'll have to come to the Post Office to pick up their mail. The card will include the photo of the perpetrator of the crimes against mail carriers.

Also included on the card is the notification that the perp will no longer received mail at home nor at the Post Office.

New Jersey has not been promoted to a country LOL. PS it actually is a very nice state. Built up along the RT 1 corridor but otherwise rural or suburban. Tons of early American history everywhere.
