Russia's finance minister said the country would take legal action if it's forced to default on its external debt, the Izvestia newspaper reported on Monday.
Russia is facing a historic sovereign default after the US Treasury blocked the country's dollar payment to international bondholders last week. Russia last defaulted on its foreign debt more than a century ago, in 1917 during the Bolshevik Revolution.
"Of course, we will sue, because we have taken all the necessary steps to ensure that investors receive their payments," Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told the pro-Krelim Izvestia in an interview.

Russia’s last sovereign debt default was way back in 1917.
That’s what i think, too…it is an act of war, and it’s also destroying the global financial system and, of course, the dollar, because people and countries no longer feel they can trust it.
Trudeau was actually the first one to do this, in a modest way, when he “debanked” the truckers, cut them out of participation in the banking and payment systems, and even seized the assets they had entrusted to the system. He had to back off a little when this started a run on the banks in Canada, but he was obviously the inspiration for Biden’s insanely dangerous political use of the banking system.

The elite’s push for war will address all psychologies; “Patriotism”, “Fear”, “Financial Gain”, “Stopping the Bully”, etc. Each person will fall inline. Probably 10% of us will realize this is nothing but leading the sheep to slaughter and side step the war. My world is war proof. I was taught to wage nuclear war and survive the outcome to wage more war. Easy for me and the teams trained to do this. For everyone else, the elites get their stated 500 million left alive, if that.
The only people fantasizing about nuclear war are a few crazies sitting in their basements. The people that would actually push the nuke buttons have more hookers and blow than they could ever need. They’re the last people on earth interested in blowing up the world.
