The man who started the 2020 Dolan Fire in Big Sur was found guilty in a Salinas courtroom on Thursday.
Ivan Geronimo Gomez was found guilty of 16 felonies including arson, marijuana cultivation, injury to a firefighter and animal cruelty.
The Dolan Fire eventually destroyed 128,050 acres and 14 structures, and may have killed 11 endangered condors. More than a dozen firefighters were injured, one critically, when they had to deploy their emergency fire shelters.
Gomez could be facing 24 years in prison.

Ugly creep deserves the death penalty for killing all those animals. Not just condors, but deer, rabbits, other birds, etc etc etc, all of which are smarter and better looking than he is..
Sick and tired of reading the criminal elements who have come here. I avoid anyone who doesn’t “look like me” now. Too risky otherwise with our border no open to any of these destructive thugs.

I live in a fairly safe area, but have taken to being armed all the time now. Too many of these evil freaks traveling about. Batter to be tried by 12 than to be carried by 6.
