A Ventura County homeowner beat up a suspected burglar when he was caught inside the victim's home. The homeowner came home April 1 around 6 pm to find a sports utility van parked out front of his residence with a suspect in the driver's seat. The homeowner found a second burglar, Alexis Provoste, 43, inside his home stealing.
The homeowner began to beat Provoste before he ran out of the home to the van. Provoste was held by the homeowner until police arrived at the scene and arrested him.

Homeowner seems to have a good Left hook.
I love a happy ending.
Amazing! They didn’t let him go with no bail...
Yah.....perp should have learned to duck...
That’s too much trouble and I’ve spent too much money on good ammo including black talons 🤪
LOL.......funny.
I never saw the guy my brother caught in his house, but the cops laughed at him when they picked him up.
Many burglaries and home invasions are conducted by 1 or more accomplices. If you're busy playing hand to hand combat with a suspect at home, you could easily be killed by another unseen/unknown 2nd suspect coming out of a bedroom etc.
Shoot the first one you see dead, and then be ready and quick for one or more other suspects attempting to attack or flee.
It seems in this case, the homeowner did not have ready access to a firearm.
"Crime tourists"? Is that what we are calling illegal aliens now?
He’s lucky he just got a beat down and lived to tell about it.
Word has gotten out beyond America about Cali's soft on crime DA's and Mayors.
The schadenfreude part is a large majority of the inhabitants of these neighborhoods voted for the Democrat fools that have unleashed a crime wave on them.
Here in Jersey if you hold a suspect for the police they’ll charge you with assault or unlawful imprisonment. The crook will be running loose before you get a hearing.
So, are they trying to save arraignment costs by having the homeowner deal with the intruder permanently using his own resources?
No, Heaven forbid! Kill the intruder and the charge is upgraded to murder! And if you're found not guilty you'll be bankrupted by your lawyer's fees.
“Amazing! They didn’t let him go with no bail...”
He must not have been Black.
How’s the guy suppose to get his meth if you don’t let him burgle your house? Some woke prosecutor needs to enlighten this homeowner
I had a drug addict try to enter my apartment in Ventura County and a neighbor called the police. I asked the police man, What is the limit about self-defense if the drug addict had entered my apartment? The police man said, “There are no limits to self-defense if the offender enters your apartment.”
And everyone should know how to be prepared to say, “I was threatened and scared.” Period.
Suppose you didn't tell anyone?
Yes, the old triple S. Shoot, shovel and shut up. Highly recommended if you have 40 acres and a backhoe!
