President Joe Biden has nominated Adm. Linda Fagan to serve as the next commandant of the US Coast Guard.
If confirmed, Fagan would be the first woman to lead a US armed service and to lead the Coast Guard.
Fagan currently serves as the No 2. in the US Coast Guard, a role she's held since June 2021.
Her nomination will be under consideration by the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation.

Yeah. I had the same impression when I saw the thread. This person takes issue with me every time I point out women should not be in combat roles or positions.
Some people just worship the fable that female soldiers are overall just as physically capable as male soldiers, and hey, there are only going to be push-button wars in the future.
And to push this stupidity, they are all for walking in lockstep with Leftists who are all too snickeringly happy to have more useful idiots walk in lockstep with them to accomplish their goals.
And those goals have nothing to do with the strengthening of the military, but to advance an ideological goal.
Well good for her, at least she needn’t fear sexual harassment.

I had to work for a particular female Marine general who held the longest meetings known to mankind and didn't relate to, or even like the issues involving the combat arms - which was a critical part of our mission at that time. 3-hour meetings and I thought my kidneys would detonate.
She was soon "booted upstairs" to be part of a disgraceful race to name the first female 3-star.
And we're not even talking about the insurmountable issues of mixing females and males in combat situations...
