U.S. national-security adviser Jake Sullivan says Russian forces are repositioning to regions of Ukraine in the east and south after meeting stronger Ukrainian resistance than they expected near Kyiv."At this juncture we believe Russia is revising its war aims" to focus on "eastern and parts of southern Ukraine rather than target most of the territory," Sullivan said at a briefing on April 4.
The goal is likely to "surround and overwhelm" Ukrainian forces in the region, he said.
"Russia could then use any tactical success it achieves to propagate a narrative of progress and mask...prior military failure."
Sullivan warned that Russia was redoubling its efforts after pulling many troops from around the capital and will fight to take significantly more territory than the Moscow-backed separatists held in the region, commonly known as the Donbas, prior to the launch of Russia's invasion on February 24.
The United States also expects Russian military forces to do what they can to hold the city of Kherson in the south and Kharkiv in the east, Sullivan told reporters at the White House on April 4……

After Russia's failure in the North you gotta wonder how this will play out.
The only reason for “failure” is the reluctance to let the Ukronazis turn Kiev into another Mariupol.
Denazification
Trust but verify...
Russians too stupid to realize that pulling out from the North to position in the south will also free up Ukrainians in the north to reposition in the south as well....Russia will get their ass kicked again.
Just like the ships off Odessa: these were forces put in place in order to draw defensive units (and attention) away from the true objectives of this war.
Mariupol has fallen, and now forces have been moved back to the Kramatorsk theatre. After eight years of war in Donbass, Kramatorsk is the centre-of-gravity of the Ukrainean military forces. Also: it must be taken in order to fulfil Putin's declared war aims.
Now I say 'feint' - but of course if the Ukraineans hadn't moved forces to defend Kiev or Odessa, then the Odessa 'prong' at least could have turned into a full assault. .
There are multiple explanations to it. It allowed to make gains in the southeast, though.
After Russia's failure in the North you gotta wonder how this will play out.Probably will play out much the same....
Remember - Biden needs this war and will try his best to prevent a ceasefire and cessation. And remember, the CIA has been under the control of the DNC (with Obama) for a while.
“Mariupol has fallen”
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but has it been officially announced that Mariupol has been completely liberated yet?
The Dead Rise In Bucha
[Proof of fake Bucha false-flag atrocity propaganda video]
In the below five-second clip taken from Ukrainian TV, which is captioned with “Civilians shot dead in Bucha: lawyers already collecting proof for international courts”, corpses are conveniently laid out on the road, in full view of liberating soldiers and camera crews trucking down the road. The longer original footage has many corpses all over the road as if they were all taking a walk (no one drives in this town) or crossing the street and then suddenly all dropped dead.
The corpse on the right, moves its hand in fear of it being run over, although of course the truck is far enough away. Another corpse is passed and can then be seen in the truck’s right-side rear-view mirror, literally turning its entire body and then sitting up, no longer resting its torso on the ground. It’s unmistakable and so creepy. Of course, the streets are deserted and no one comes out to great the liberators, because every single living soul here was out in the street and suddenly got shot by Russians.

Well if the Biden admin says it than it must be true
The video from the so-called “cleansing operation” by the Ukronazis.

You can hear the authorization to kill everyone “without the blue band”, at 0:27 you can hear someone begging: “please, don’t kill me”.
There is the reason why the UK opposed the hearing on the issue twice by now, because it is the uniform British-advised false flag, the most heinous to date.
It is a simple atrocity by the Ukronazis, turned into false flag by the media propagandists.
There may be dead-ender Azov Nazis still hiding in the giant steelworks, but that’s it.
The population centers, roads and coastline are 100% in Russian hands.
“There is the reason why the UK opposed the hearing on the issue twice by now, because it is the uniform British-advised false flag, the most heinous to date.”
Winds up that most of the Bosnian and Kosovo Serb ‘atrocities’ were also False Flags. But they did their job, which was to get the US to bomb the hell out of Serbs.
“There may be dead-ender Azov Nazis still hiding in the giant steelworks, but that’s it.”
Good to hear, they’ll eventually run out of supplies there.
That’s the point, most proved to be fakes. The same is the “Russian invasion of Georgia” in 2008. The independent international investigation proved that it was Georgia that started the war and everything people heard from the media about it were flat-out lies. Guess what? Nobody heard about the investigation, but everybody remembers what the media was telling.
As additional tons of anti-air and anti-armor weapons continue to be pour in, the next ass kicking will even be worse for the Russkies.
The other occupied / controlled Nations will see it's possible to throw off the yoke.
Putin's blunder rivals Slow Joe's Afghan fiasco.
Having lost sight of the objective, the Russians are mounting a new effort to take control of the eastern territory.
That was the Putin stated objective form the beginning.
Given the sanctions in effect and now proposed, Putin may win his Ukranian objectives while losing Russia.
Russia is forever indebted to Ukraine for reparations
