Sens. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) announced Monday night that they will vote to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, making them the second and third Republicans to confirm their vote for President Joe Biden’s court pick.

“After multiple in-depth conversations with Judge Jackson and deliberative review of her record and recent hearings, I will support her historic nomination to be an Associate Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court,” Murkowski said in a statement.

Romney soon followed in a tweet:

If Lisa is still on the ballot will you vote for the Democrat?

The delegates to the Constitutional Convention found their motivation for scrutinizing proposals from political theories of the Enlightenment that emphasized individual human liberties synthesized into intangible property as defined most immediately by John Locke, and James Madison. For all time Americans then would be defined as sovereign individuals finding their identity in exercising pre-existing intangible liberties within bounds of voluntary self-restraint and accompanied by the hazards and uncertainties of personal freedom.

However, Judge Jackson disagrees with that position as noted in the below article. In her defense many say that “natural rights” are a religious and not a legal principle.

'I Do Not Hold a Position on Whether Individuals Possess Natural Rights'

https://www.cnsnews.com/article/national/susan-jones/judge-jackson-i-do-not-hold-position-whether-individuals-possess

The links I have listed refute that idea. Also, the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights says, “the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world”. The Soviet Union ensured any taint of religion was removed before the document was adopted.

Property by James Madison

Everything I have said above now represents a highly controversial political position. We are now only one opinion away from forfeiting our liberties as previously delineated, when five individuals such as this judge can redefine our Constitution.

Romney may not be gettable, but that miserable wench Murkowski certainly is.

She must be taken out at ALL costs.

Actually, this is good news...

Jackson is going to be approved regardless of what any Republican does.

By voting for this stone-cold Marxist, Murkowski and Pierre Delecto have made themselves easier to defeat in the primary.

Same.

Didn’t vote for McCain, Romney or my Senators Lamar! and Bob Corker. Or Bill Frist before them.

All assistant Dems.

The declared Democrat dropped out of the Alaska Senate race.

These are the only candidates left:

Lisa Murkowski (R)
Dustin Darden (American Independent Party)
Huhnkie Lee (Independent) Candidate Connection
Sam Little (R)
Karl Speights (R)
Sean Thorne (L)
Kelly Tshibaka (R)

It will be RCV. The key is to make sure to rank Murkowski last.

Not necessarily - based on the polling she’s switching strategies to go after the Democrat votes in Alaska - it is a jungle primary with the general election having RCV.

She’ll be worse than ever if she wins this time as she owes zero allegiance at all to the Republican Party voters...there is no longer a party primary for her to have to worry about base voters in Alaska to even throw them a dog biscuit occasionally to try to get even nominal support.

Those polls showing Kelly Tshibaka with the large lead were encouraging, but she must be pushed to get to 50% for the general election as the first choice to avoid the RCV being a factor - the 45% number may not cut it as few if any of the other voters would pick her as the second choice, whereas the Democrat voters would probably all just about select Murkowski as their second choice. With the RCV nonsense, Murkowski could be 20 points or more behind on the first choice and then still end up winning comfortably.

Good for you!
Too many fall for the argument that an Assistant Democrat is somehow better than a real Democrat, when on the big stuff like amnesty, they are the same.

Ideally have her come in 5th place in the first round...although with her name ID that isn’t likely especially with the Democrat flying the coop.

The Tshibaka voters - they should be educated to pick the other candidates as their 2nd and 3rd choices and NOT even select Murkowski at all - that would provide at least some marginal hope that if she doesn’t clear 50% as the first choice that Murkowski can’t catch her as enough other voters would have selected Tshibaka as their second choice.

Remember, we need to vote for RINOs for the Supreme Court votes. Oh wait... never mind.

Didn’t Murkowski win on a write-in 2010?

It’s difficult to imagine her not making it into the final.

true that - if Democrats had been in control in 2016, they would have blocked Garland's nomination just the same as the GOP did. Then they would have quickly confirmed Gorsuch by using the nuclear option just like the GOP did, and all of those numerous 5-4 decisions on very important cases that went the conservative way would have still done so, vs. 5-4 the Leftist way - right? Not a dimes worth of difference there between those two scenarios, right? Likewise, a Dem controlled Senate would have confirmed Kavanaugh and Barrett, passed major tax reform, numerous CRA provisions, repeal of the individual mandate, record number of judges, etc., right?
