Humanity has less than three years to halt the rise of planet-warming carbon pollution, UN climate experts warned Monday, with any delay to peak greenhouse gas emissions likely to result in smashing through warming targets.
The UN's Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change said emissions have to peak before 2025 and drop sharply to keep even the more conservative Paris treaty warming goal of two degrees Celsius in play.
"We are at a crossroads," said IPCC chief Hoesung Lee. "The decisions we make now can secure a liveable future. We have the tools and know-how required to limit warming."
Reports from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are considered the most authoritative assessments of the state of global warming, its impacts and the measures being taken to tackle it.
Capping global warming at 1.5C without overshooting the mark by a wide margin will require investing about $2.3 trillion a year.

1989 is actually relatively recent as far as climate scams go ... they’ve been scaring people with “end of the world due to climate nonsense that only a one world government can solve” since the late 1800s (also around the time Marxism started to catch fire worldwide).
Also, I thought Algore told us that 2015 was the deadline for the planet to get its act together and head back to the stone age. Aren’t we all dead now? I mean, I was killed during Net Neutrality repeal in 2017 (recall Rats were trying to tell people that repeal would lead to lots of deaths), but maybe many started to die after Algore’s 2015 warning passed and I just didn’t notice it?
In my 72 years I have watched every prognostication of doom to fail. I and others have listed such on this site for some time. Can anyone think of just ONE doomsday scenario from the 60's, 70's, 80's and on that came true? I can't.
There it is. Best reply I've read for some time to explain why these so-called experts keep telling us the World is dying.
Probably due to I have lost faith in modern science and now medicine. When did these "experts" decide that the basics taught in my grade/junior high schools were wrong? Oh right, grants, and what poster said, "Publish or Die".
Predictions of the end of humanity and earth by climate frauds are always a few more years down the line.
