Will Smith was just defending his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, during Sunday evening’s Oscars ceremony, but for some who share the same medical condition, they felt protected, too.
After presenter Chris Rock made a joke about Pinkett-Smith’s bald-headed hairstyle — an outcome of the “Gotham” star’s condition, alopecia — Smith socked him on stage.
“Ex on the Beach” contestant ZaraLena Jackson, who also suffers from hair-loss illness and is an advocate on social media, is standing by Smith, 53, and his actions at the Dolby Theater.
The 29-year-old reality star told SWNS that while she doesn’t advocate for violence, Rock, 57, should have “known better.”
“I think it’s inappropriate to make any joke about someone with alopecia as it’s a condition that highly impacts mental health for that individual and isn’t a laughing matter,” she said.
Jackson continued, “To be clear, I don’t condone violence, but him defending Jada showed strength in my eyes and was very comforting to see a man stand by his woman when she has alopecia.”

Everybody knows it was staged and scripted.
ayanaa pressley approved. Oscar endorsed. Ready for prime time.
I can tell it wasn’t staged because Chris Rock did not have a witty comeback.
He should just issue a press release saying that he will have his lawyers contact Will Smith’s lawyers regarding the felony assault that took place on national TV.
From what I saw, Chris Rock took Will Smith’s best “strength” without excessive displeasure.
She should have worn a wig. Hollywood is the epicenter of fakeness. Hollywood types have all sorts of cosmetic enhancements done to themselves and cannot wear a wig? The only reason she’s sporting the bald head is for special victim status.
And Will Smith's tearful speech? There's a reason he's called an ACTOR, folks.
I read an article which claimed that Will Smith is “emasculated”, because not only has his wife insisted on an “open marriage”, so she can have sex with other people, but in public, and even in a radio show, she has rubbed his nose in it.
At the Oscars, he made no move against Rock until she ordered him to do so.
Sounds like she needs a psychiatrist and a clergyman, and he needs anger management therapy.
So let me get this straight, the Oscar producers are too inept to include an obvious in the news recent death (Bob Sagat)in their “In memoriam” section, yet they strategically planned having Will Smith rise to a JOKE to confront and physically attack a comedian and then sit down and shout profanity for the audience and viewers to hear thinking somehow that would inspire new audiences to watch in the future.
Then, Denzel Washington and Bradley Cooper were also “in” on this conspiracy for ratings and were seen consoling Will and his wife all to make this “staged” event seem real. I guess some viewers think they really filmed Martians on Mars too.
His wife was not assaulted so his violence was unacceptable.
Whether it was staged or not it just reinforces my opinion of these ridiculous events and their ridiculous people.
Do alpacas get alopecia? ;)
It’s funny when balding happens to white guys though.
so for guys... they’re the butt of the bald jokes...
for women it is a auto immune disorder?!?!
Two black guys fighting about a woman? Yawn.
Jada says she can only laugh during alopecia struggles.
Chris Rock was going to press charges against Smith but since it took place during the Oscars he didn’t have any witnesses
Folks, this is all manufactured news. ignore it, stop posting this crap
1st. ZaraLena is not a natural blonde as stated in article. Probably over-processed her hair.
2nd . Jada Pinkett Smith & Will Smith have much BIGGER problems than a joke about her looking like G.I. Jane!!!
These people are crazy.
Social media and TV has turned everything into a personal battle, a war, or some sort of ridiculous contest.
This is more damaging to society than most of the crap we are told to worry about.
IOW => I don’t condone violence, but I condone violence.
