That free expression led to an avalanche of tickets. That's where we are. If you speak up to your Masters, they will crush you.
When this all goes bad (and it will eventually happen), it will go very bad indeed.

Maybe we shouldn’t have let Italians in.

To: billorites
Unfortunately, no police issuing the tickets were severely injured in the process.

“And on one occasion, the Mayor of Melrose Park, Ronald Serpico, drove by and verbally threatened Michael Cozzi with violence.”
Some might think this story is crazy, but Melrose Park is a mafia-connected town, and the public officials there act like it.

Disgusting petty tyranny on the part of the town officials. And it’s lucky I don’t live in Melrose Park. I’d probably rack up a million dollars in fines.

I hope they owned the town now along with the mayor’s private residence ...

Having married into an Italian family, I can attest that this is just, um, normal for Italians having a beef. Sorry, but it is.

Of course I side with the elderly lawn chair Italians, not the power mad Mayor Italian.
To: ClearCase_guy
I seem to remember some guy in Colorado getting fed up with his local government.

((The above is not a statement of fact. It is either opinion, or satire. Or both.))

$500/day for 2 lawn chairs in the front yard is cruel and unusual punishment. What prevents that “Village” (HOA with a police force) from hitting them with $1000 or $5000 per day fines?
To: BenLurkin
Good thing I live in the country. 3 tractors, 4 trailers, manikins in camo gear all over among the trees, boat in the pond. chickens running free. etc etc
To: plain talk
Is that a pic of the actual Cozzi house?
There must be a lot of background that’s left out of this article. Why did the town have it in for this old couple?

These city council members will be the same ones who sit on the local housing council to assign families to share your home when the Marxist revolution is complete.
