Trump withdraws endorsement of 'woke' Mo Brooks

Former President Trump has pulled his endorsement of Rep. Mo Brooks in this year's Alabama Senate primary, slamming the Republican as "woke" and disloyal to him for doubting his claims about the 2020 presidential election.

"When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who 'brilliantly' convinced him to 'stop talking about the 2020 Election,'" Trump said in a statement issued on Wednesday morning.

"Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate. I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore.

I’ve sat down and had supper with the man. He’s good on a lot of conservative issues, including the 2nd Amendment, but he is a typical politician. He will sway with the winds. I think Trump’s criticism of Brooks is accurate.

I’d like to see Trump pull his endorsement of Herschel Walker, although it’s probably too late in the process to shift gears on that race. Walker is dumb as a rock and arrogant enough to think he’s qualified to be Senator. Trump probably encouraged him to run thinking Walker would follow his lead when it comes to policy. Big mistake on Trump’s part. Walker refuses to endorse Trump-endorsed Perdue over Brian Kemp. He hides from the press even more than Biden does, and he’s pro-amnesty. But he’ll end up coasting to a win based on name recognition alone.

My only hope is that Trump has a sit down with him and tries to set him straight.

It’s real simple. The movement has no hope if the 2020 election steel is not exposed. Period.

Interesting. What was it that persuaded her into thinking the election was dirty?

The idea that Trump could possibly be reinstated is stupid. There is no mechanism to do so and even if there were, it would not succeed well into the second year of Xiden.

Mo Brooks stated the obvious truth and now Trump is trying to cancel him for hurting his feelings.

Perhaps other people in her circle of friends or even items that somehow got into social media which she consumes a lot of.

The items got in in spite of the censorship there.

I think she gets text messages from certain special interests like the Family Research Council but they don’t do elections as an issue.

Nonsense. Spoken like a true RINO. First of all, the idea that Trump can be reinstated is a red herring. I believe there are a number of legal paths that would allow that to happen. But regardless of whether he ends up being reinstated or not, anyone who thinks we should move on from 2020 is not interested in fixing our broken system. Unless and until those responsible are exposed and punished, it can easily happen again. If you’re O.K. with that, then maybe you belong on Huffington Post or some other leftist site.

You are attacking one of the most conservative members of Congress in support of a delusional fantasy. Trump will never be reinstated, just like John Kerry wasn’t going to be instilled as president.

This endless whining and crying about the last election is a surefire loser for 2024. People want a vision for the future, not tears about the past. They want a leader with direction of where they want to take things. It worked for Reagan in 1980 and Trump in 2016. Where there is no vision the people perish.

You’ll learn a few things if you hang around here another ten years, RINO. I’m guessing you were in diapers when Algore had his infamous Sore Loserman crybabying and don’t remember it, or the role that FR played.

First off I should ask you if you think Trump won in 2020 or not. I had assumed you believed he won but after seeing you compare 2020 to Bush/Gore I’m not so sure.. If you think Biden won then you’re too factually challenged to discuss the subject intelligently. But for the sake of this post, I’m going to assume that you’re aware the election was stolen in which case you have once again put forward the same straw man argument as you did in your previous comment. Whether Trump gets reinstated or not is a side issue compared to exposing and punishing those who stole the election and making sure it never happens again.

Talking about 2020 is a sure loser for 2024? Are you kidding me? Having corrupt rigged elections like we had in 2020 makes your discussion of ‘winning issues’ irrelevant. Anyone who doesn’t want to address the corruption is content with having meaningless show elections from now on. It’s that simple.

You’re deliberately misunderstanding what Mo Brooks said. He is only focused on the BS fantasy that Trump could be reinstated. Trump himself does not talk about it, only people like Mike Lindell do. Crazy crack addicts, or people trying to grift. He said repeatedly he thinks Trump won but the time is up. Time to focus on the present rather than wallow in the past.

I don’t think so. Have a look at Brook’s response to Trump pullng his endorsement:

I repeat what has prompted President Trump’s ire. The only legal way America can prevent 2020’s election debacle is for patriotic Americans to focus on and win the 2022 and 2024 elections,” said Brooks.

So he wants to make sure 2020 doesn’t happen again but wants to “look forward” and not discuss it anymore? If cleaning up election theft of 2020 is important enough to be part of hi platform, then it’s important enough for him to discuss and focus on in his campaign. If he’s unwilling to do so, then his vague assurances that it will be fixed if we can just get a Republican majority in 2022 rings hollow, and he’s just another RINO assuring us that he’ll fix a problem that he’s not even comfortable discussing.

Trump did not lose the election in 2020. He lost the war in 2020 by handing the country over to Pence and the Covidians.

It’s not going to happen. President Trump is not going to be reinstated. Period. He either wins election in 2024 to again be President, or he will not again be President.

For example:

1 - State legislatures decertifying their electors.
2 - Trump being elected Speaker of the House in 2023, and Biden and Kamala being impeached.

Beyond that, we’re in uncharted territory. If the theft of the election that we all know happened finally gets the exposure it deserves and a win or wins in court, then allowing Biden to stay in office is untenable. How exactly Biden would be dealt with at that point is unknown. Perhaps the Supreme Court would step in and rule on the matter or perhaps the elements of the military would take some action. Just because the Constitution doesn’t give a specific remedy for a situation doesn’t mean no Constitutional remedy exists. Any power not deliniated to the Federal Government by the Constituion is retained by the people and the states.
