The two magic words: “Nazi” and “democracy”. Just label the “Good Guys” a “democracy” and label the “Bad Guys” as “Nazis” and you don’t even have to think about it. The words don’t actually mean anything, they’re just labels to slap on stuff so that people know how they are expected to think.

If you view Eastern Europe as a zero-sum game and believe that either only Russia or USA will control it (as the US deep state does), then it makes sense.

We should avoid sticking our noses in other countries’ wars (unless one of the potential outcomes of such a war would seriously impact the safety and security of the U.S.). If Russia takes control of Ukraine, it gives Putin a NATO buffer zone. How would that outcome seriously impact the safety and security of the U.S.?
