Putin shows off yet more designer wear: After outrage over Russian President's £10,000 jacket, high-fashion leader is also spotted wearing £8,800 watch and £605 trainers

While Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has become famous for his khaki green T-shirt, his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin chose a £10,000 Loro Piana jacket for his appearance at a stadium rally last week.

With Russia feeling the impact of sanctions, it is unclear which of Putin's aides thought it wise for him to don a coat costing 25 times the nation's average monthly wage.

Putin, who teamed the puffer jacket with a £2,400 roll-neck sweater by Italian brand Kiton, told 200,000 people inside Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium that his invasion of Ukraine was to defend the 'universal values' of all Russians.

The high-fashion leader is also a fan of a £8,800 black Blancpain Grande Date Aqua Lung watch, and has been spotted in a £605 pair of Loro Piana suede trim sneakers.

One critic wrote on Twitter: 'While Russian people are fighting for food in stores, Putin addressed Russians wearing a Loro Piana jacket worth 1.5million roubles.'

Putin's physique looked bulky during the speech, sparking speculation he was wearing a bullet-proof jacket under the coat. There were also claims that much of the crowd were paid or coerced to be there.

Republicans demand new probe into Hunter Biden laptop, coverup

The COVERUP, not what’s actually IN the laptop, nooo...

I read that as TWO separate matters, though related.

One is about looking into the Hunter Biden laptop matter, and the other is about how the Hunter Biden matter was covered up. Two separate investigations needed; the last one about how the media and interested parties wanted to cover up the matter.

“The hate Putin cult rules the world”

That gives Trump some relief since 2016. Not much, but some.

The people who praised Michael Robinson Obama’s fashion flair and extravagance as First It, are the same people bitching about what Putin is wearing.

You get this if all you listen to is US MSM. And you don’t really get Japan or Australia, or much of Europe either. But you need to add China, as they are always in the news.

I would not even call Putin a nationalist. He is too selfish and corrupt. He has not been good for Russia except for his billionaire pals. Pol Pot was more of a nationalist, but I would not call him a nationalist. I would more likely call him an evil murderous dictator. Come to think of it, that is what I would call Putin.

You need to reexamine the Chinese readouts from their meeting with Jake Sullivan in Rome and subsequent Biden/Xi virtual meeting if you think China is onboard the NATO express.

I saw her on the cover of a mag in the supermarket today.

She’s becoming black. It’s amazing.

I would say the same about the presidents before Trump, the last almost 30 years. Not good for the American people, either.

Putin channeling Marie Antoinette isn’t a bad look. Gotta hide that vest, somehow, which guards against someone getting too close with a zip gun or, God forbid, one of his bodyguards turns out to have been insufficiently vetted, or has kin in Ukraine.

Yes, he’s a rich, old, corrupt communist with too much power. Like the one at the helm of our country right now....

Except functional, and smarter.
