ormer Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush visited a Ukrainian Church in Chicago together on Friday in a show of solidarity for the country amid the Russian invasion.
The ex-presidents each laid bouquets of sunflowers – Ukraine’s national flower – at Saints Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church, located in the middle of the Windy City’s vibrant Ukrainian Village neighborhood.
“America stands united with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom and against oppression,” both Clinton and Bush posted on their respective social media accounts.
The house of worship thanked the former presidents for the visit in a Facebook post.
A video shared by Clinton and Bush noted that the US has maintained diplomatic relations with Ukraine since 1991, when it became independent from the Soviet Union.
“Presidents Clinton and Bush worked to support Ukraine’s democratic institutions,” the clip says. “Both former presidents have called upon Americans to stand with Ukraine.”

Those 2 ought to know.. How corrupt both ukraine and russia have been.. But they want to show compassion because they think the sentiment favors Ukraine.. Best to stay out of it.. But dont let a crisis go to waste.

I hate to break the news to you, but Saints Volodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Catholic Church in Chicago, is of course a CATHOLIC church, and NOT an Orthodox one. The parish is in communion with the bishop of Rome and part of the worldwide Catholic Church. You should probably read the article before automatically assuming the church was Eastern Orthodox merely due to the ethnicity of its members.
And while it's true most of the people being slaughtered by the Russians are indeed Orthodox Christians, a even higher percentage of the people DOING the slaughtering are also Orthodox. They are not specifically "targeting" Orthodox Christians, but ALL Ukrainians, Catholic and Orthodox alike, in general.

Those Ukraine girls really knock Bill out I hear but seriously his administrations started the moves against Russia that the architect of containment of the Soviet Union, George Kennan, came out of retirement to oppose.
Kennan warned that pushing NATO east that making Russia feel threatened would have serious consequences. He said it way back in 1997.
