Manchin: I Don’t See Inflation, Gas Prices Declining ‘At All’ – Have to ‘Get Your Financial House in Order’
Breitbart ^ | 03/15/2022 | Ian hatchett

On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) said that he doesn’t see gas prices or inflation decreasing “at all.” And argued that “you’ve got to get your financial house in order” and ensure American energy independence.

Host Wolf Blitzer asked, “The president is also blaming the high gas prices right now — and the inflation — he’s blaming Russia, labeling it Putin’s price hike. Can the White House really though, claim Putin is solely responsible? Because prices, as you know, have been rising long before the Russian invasion.”

It would be a lot better for some of these folks, if they would just
keep their mouths shut.

“YOU NEED TO GET YOUR FINANCIAL HOUSE IN ORDER!”

What a brain trust. That’s just offensive.

Let them eat cake...

What he is saying, is that they don’t plan to take this inflation
seriously at all.

West Va has 4.1% unemployment so those miners must be working somewhere. Isn’t 4% considered “full employment”?

Their position:

If you have a problem with high gas prices, its your problem. Get your finances in order.

Its a laugh coming from someone who gets their money either out of thin air or by legally confiscating it from others.

Well good for Manchin. Now if the other 534 idiots do the same. Sad thing is the spending cuts and tax increases needed to put our house in financial order would mean the death of the nation.

Machin is an hypocritical piece of excrement. Did you see him standing and waiting for his celebratory pen when Biden signing the Omnibus Spending Bill? That's $1.5 trillion dollars we don't have and those dollars will be printed out of thin air. That in turn increases prices of everything because the dollar isn't worth the crap in Biden's diaper.

Manchin is one of the problems. He's not a solution to anything.

Manchin is being very realistic here, and bucking the Dem party line, again.

I wonder what number you would get if you took the number of employed people and divided that by the total number of able bodied adults between 18 and 65

My grocery store Aldi can not find workers to stock shelves at $16/hour starting wages. I am south of Jacksonville, FL.

Yes the state is legendary for welfare fraud but that happens no matter what the political party controlling DC is.

That is the population employment ratio, or as the Federal Reserve of St. Louis calls it, EMRATIO. They like using that vs unemployment rate as that gets around the whole labor force calculation garbage.

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/EMRATIO

It is not available by state unfortunately.

If one has been out of work a certain amount of time, they are no longer “unemployed”.
They don’t count towards Labor Force Participation rate.
