Former CIA Director David Petraeus on Sunday weighed in on the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Petraeus told John Catsimatidis, host of New York WABC 770 AM radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” that “everybody involved” was “losing” as a result of the war. He pointed to Russia, which he said was heading toward a recession because the United States was “strangling their economy.”

I agree Betrayus isn’t believable
Russia isn’t losing.
“I agree Betrayus isn’t believable”
The end of the war is soon (negotiating now). Russia will get what it wants.
Have we forgotten that the Russians have Nukes?
No, Putin, would never do a thing like that to save his God like image, would he?
Yep, they are just setting the stage for the real bs..
Because Petraeus is an economics expert?
He takes taking points from Daily Mail.
The Russians are losing because their conventional forces are not quite the juggernaut once feared by others and the Ukrainians are willing to fight. It is true that the sanctions are causing big disruptions in the Russian economy. The war itself is causing political instability and low morale and discontent throughout the military. However The West may come to regret that it has forced Russia into a military and economic perhaps long term relationship with China, central Asia and Arab oil producers.
Sure, guy. The economic bomb has also given friends and enemies alike the idea that perhaps having one country set the terms of international trade through a single currency is a bad idea.
True, they are just winning a lot slower than expected.
Petraeus means: "Losing our (The West's) goodwill."
As though that mattered!
Regards,

The “enlightened” have sealed the fate of the US$ as the world’s reserve currency. China, India, and many more are not watching this all take place in a casual manner. What will the western banks holding all those “foreign reserves” do when the new reserve currency causes the withdrawal of $trillions? Make no mistake about it, the sanctions on Russia will, in the long run, prove to be a very positive thing for our adversaries, and a very negative thing for us.
For BetrayUs to speak out now must mean he, too, was conducing criminal activity in Ukraine and stealing money from them just like Biden and the rest of the democraps.
full of bull crap
Yes, they are losing.... (rolling eyes)
Funny, they just bombed a military base at the most western part of the Ukraine... Have cities under complete siege with power, water, and supplies cut off for over a week, but are “losing” the war.
I have no doubt sanctions are having economic impacts in Russia, but the narrative they are losing the war is laughable.
Without outside direct involvement, Ukraine will be conquered. They can and I am sure are putting up a resistance, and can engage in asymmetrical warfare even after Kiev falls, but the Ukrainian military is not any match long term for the Russian forces.
It is abundantly clear that Russia has been intentionally trying NOT to just bomb Ukraine into rubble, however, that restraint (so far) does not equate into Russia is losing the war.
Oh bull plops- they were facing minor defeats before sa cations were put in place, and sanctions haven’t been in place long enoug tO begin hurting them.
The reporting on this war is getting bizarre.
When the Russians hit the maternity hospital the media was outraged and rightfully so. But then the other day Russia hit a military base a few miles from the Polish border and the media spun this to be unacceptable and precursor to NATO involvement.
Russia is winning or Russia is losing depending on where you put the goal posts. Define victory and then tell us why to make your pronouncement meaningful.
What makes the ‘Expert Class’ think these sanctions will not cause any consequences for the US? Arrogant fools.
