The mother-in-law of Fox News star Greg Gutfeld was safely evacuated from Ukraine and tearfully reunited with her daughter in Poland last week.
Gutfeld, the co-host of “The Five,” played a video on the air showing the dramatic moment his wife, Elena, met her mother after she crossed the border separating Ukraine and Poland.
“Just to let everybody know my mother-in-law crossed into … Poland about half an hour ago, so she’s in a car on her way to Warsaw to see her daughter, Elena,” Gutfeld said on the air.
When he introduced the clip of his wife and mother-in-law reuniting in Poland, Gutfeld warned viewers: “This clip has been known to cause a run on tissues.”
Elena Gutfeld is seen in the clip warmly embracing her mother in front of the Renaissance Hotel in Warsaw, telling her in Russian: “Thank God.”
Elena then turns to the camera and says: “Thank you so much.”
When asked what it was like waiting, she replied: “Oh my God, it was awful. It was absolutely awful.”
“But I’m so happy to have her here.”
Elena’s mother said the ordeal was “difficult.”

From the video, I could not tell she was a trophy wife, but what the heck - Trump has married several trophy wives.

Then I figured that the cameraman (Steve Harrigan) was staging the video, otherwise he would have carried her bags himself.
I'm guessing the rest of her belongings were already inside the building, and they shot this scene for effect.

Why do you call her a ‘trophy’ wife?
As far as I can tell she’s the only one he’s been married to, and they’ve been married for a long time.
Pre-empted due to Ukraine War. Fox is pretty much 24/7 news now.
They haven't dumped anyone else. I think they're after Gutfeld for his non=woke show . . . pathetic!

Hannity and Ingraham etc both do news shows, so they’re still there. Gutfeld was entertainment, and was temporarily expendable. I really miss the show and his antics. He’ll be back whenever this war is over, or at least wound down. Meanwhile, Fox has lost a huge audience at the nightly slot.
No sense of humor eh?
I think they need to dispense some lithium pills at Fox News. They are a bit too excited about this war.
It's better for Gutfeld to let him use his time on The Five to express his opinions and let the straight news shows use that time slot for now. Inserting a pre-taped comedy hour in-between two live coverage shows showing human devastation would not work.
