The convoy has updated their plans. They are in Hagerstown Maryland about 1 hour from DC right now . They will be circling the 495 beltway around DC at minimum legal speeds TWICE then returning to Hagerstown speedway for the night. They will NOT BE STOPPING or impeding traffic. They will NOT be going into DC. The convoy will repeat this slow roll encircling of DC every day until their demands - an end to national COVID emergency. President poopy pants has stated he will veto any bill ending national emergency.

They’ve closed their final loop around DC for today and are returning at this point to the raceway in Hagerstown. The plan is to return tomorrow.
Traffic in the DC area is strange. One minute you have to be going 80MPH just to keep up with traffic and the next you’re crawling along at 5MPH in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Erratic and inconsistent, but strangely appropriate for the area.
A little late to the party. Should have joined when the Canadians started. Not sure what this will accomplish since most if not all the mandates were lifted.
It would only do good if there really, truly are 1000 or more trucks.....I’m not convinced it’s that big, much less “7000” (or 38,000 planned, per Breitbart).
If there were LOTS of TRACTOR-TRAILERS (emphasis on TRAILERS - just tractor cabs don’t count), then it would make the Beltway more of a mess than it already is. THAT would get attention. Even if it takes a while.
As it is, I’m still not seeing alot of reports so evidently, it hasn’t been that impressive.
We’ll see tomorrow? When “gridlock” typically happens.

Government? Sure. But they’ve convinced all these damn businesses and medical “heroes” that there MUST be vaccines or NO JOB. And many of them keep demanding masks.
The so-called anti-discrimination rules need to be turned against these commies.
As far as this “convoy” - it’s big, but not big enough, I fear.
And will anyone tell me how “big” the Canada was? How many trailers (cabs alone don’t count) were there stale-mating Ottawa?
I agree... I was thinking the same. There might not be enough numbers to make much difference. We heard nothing about any jams along the way.

Even worse, this was in the Channel 4 article I posted:
‘The People’s Convoy group “has been working with local and state law enforcement to find the best time to travel,” spokesperson Lynne Kristensen said.’
IOW, they’re trying to be really, really nice. They don’t WANT to hold up traffic.
So this will be lame. No one will really notice. And that is the point of protest.
The Trump caravan around the DC Beltway in Oct ‘20 seemed to have more impact than this is looking to. (My cousin happened to drive along it when returning home that day - we were in the [small] Baltimore caravan.)
I have a feeling this will cause more trouble for Hagerstown than it will in D.C. They need to be much bigger, and not apparently “working with police” so much.

Yep... It is unfortunate. I guess we can throw away the concept of “Can’t cross a picket line”. It is going to go completely unnoticed except for us armchair and overpass fans.

OK I just wanted to know.
They’re working with authorities.
That shows there is almost zero chance of them being “grabbed out of their trucks”.
Today’s the first time I’ve actually looked at articles about this and they’re being all too cooperative.
Nothing will happen to them - and that cooperation also indicates that no one will ultimately notice. There will be basically no disruption. ZZZzzzzzzzz
