The screeching over Ukraine reminds me of the screeching over Kuwait.

I’m at a loss. They went to 11 almost overnight. I can’t help but feel there’s a subtext here I’m missing.

When Ukrainians were told that the West would support them they believed it. The Ukrainians were suckered into starting a more fierce resistance and now they stand all alone as Russia starts using heavy artillery and thermobaric weapons.

“[T]he fact is, after watching the disaster in Afghanistan, I wasn’t convinced that it was possible for the American government to be even dumber, more destructive, and more dishonest,” he said. “This is now worse than Afghanistan. If you want to help people of Ukraine, get them weapons. Get them weapons tonight. Get them weapons through the CIA. Get them weapons through covert means. Get them weapons by contracting with private contractors."

There were many things wrong with Afghanustan. One of the big ones, in my opinion, is that we flew something like $80B in weapons into Afghanistan and then abandoned it to the Taliban. That was dumb.

Here we see Newt Gingrich recommend that we fly a whole bunch of weapons (perhaps $80B worth?) into Ukraine so that when Putin takes over the country, he can get a real windfall.

Let's not repeat the same mistake.

Afghanistan is synonymous with quagmire. First for the British, then the Russians and lately for the Americans. Is Ukraine a quagmire for the Russians? The US? NATO?

Maybe that legendary 300,000 strong Afghan military will show up to help Ukraine.

According to the some Freepers its a quagmire for the US who somehow forced Russia to invade even though Ukraine wasn’t threatening them or even anywhere near joining NATO and Biden is doing the right thing by sitting around.

Linda called out on Twitter for someone, anyone to assassinate Putin. This is a provocation of war against someone who controls the world's largest nuclear arsenal is beyond stupid. Now when someone does kill or attempts to kill Putin guess who is going to get part of the blame?

Zelensky is nuts. He and his agencies lied incessantly about the nuke plant for two days. This thread documents it all. U.S. Sytate Dept (Victoria Nuland et al) are responsible for this mess.

The Ukrainian government, including Zelensky, *lied* about Russians critically damaging the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant in a way that caused radiation levels to rise, which they used to justify getting US/NATO involved. The Ukrainian government is actively trying to start WWIII.

Quagmires are typically the result of not going all out to win. America is the world’s leading expert at it.

This whole damn thing is inhumane fraud to further the international “green energy” narrative. Ukraine will be reduced to nuclear rubble to do that. Look at the headlines. How many countries are pushing the idea that all their citizens need to “turn down your thermostats!” if you want to ounish Putin? Never let a good crisis go to waste, right? Criminals and liars in charge and whole populations of sheep created by the Covid scam who will comply with this current BS. How can people be so unbearably stupid?

Yeah it’s worse. The Ivy League geniuses running things can’t seem to distinguish between 13th century goat/boy buggerers and Thermonuclear ICBM builders.

“Biden is doing the right thing by sitting around.”

Had he done more sitting around on other things, it would be a good thing for the country. But especially so in this case, where doing stupid stuff would be stumbling downhill towards annihilation.

In fact, much would probably be solved if more US politicians just sat around - even though I understand they are from the government and they’re here to help.

The last outsider to conquer Afghanistan was Genghis Khan.

As you said, he was in it to win it. His grandson Kublai expanded the Khan empire from Italy all the way over to the Korean peninsula. If it wasn't for the "Divine Wind" (Kamikaze) he would have conquered Japan too.
