U.S. Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said President Joe Biden's State of the Union address 'left a little to be desired' for Democrats because he did not push issues like renewable energy, student loan debt, education or immigration.
The New York Democrat said Biden's speech on Tuesday, where he focused on COVID recovery and the conflict in the Ukraine, failed to capitalize on moving away from Russian oil by committing to green energy.
'I think it was a lost opportunity,' Ocasio-Cortez, 32, told MSNBC. 'There is profound bipartisan support to a long-term shift away from fossil fuels.'
She added that Biden had glossed over issues of 'crisis in education,' student loan debt and immigration, key issues that she said deserved the Democratic party's focus.

Anyone with half a brain understands that batteries just store power; it still has to be generated. There is not nearly enough power generation capacity to support EVs.

I just stocked up on liquid fossil fuels over the last 5 days.
10 weeks of gasoline,
6 to 12 months of Diesel.
AOC is full of Sh!t. I don’t support a move away from fossil fuels.
Smart idea. Because in 10 weeks, we’ll probably wish gas was as cheap as today, and gas is pretty damn expensive today.
AOC would have complained about something no matter what he said, even if she gave him all the talking points. Its her modus operandi to behave this way and its essentially the only reason needed to completely ignore her.
