Inspector of the Army Lt. Gen. Alfons Mais described the army as "standing bare" and said it would be limited in its capabilities should it be asked to assist in a NATO mission in a post he shared on his LinkedIn profile, Stripes.com reported.

But Mais claimed in the post that the army would be limited in its capabilities to assist in a NATO mission: "The options we can offer policymakers to support the Alliance are extremely limited."

According to the report, Mais appealed to his government to do more to boost its combat readiness in 2014, following the Russian invasion of Crimea, but his arguments failed to influence policy changes.

NATO is not a fighting force ….and Europe is dependent on Russian oil and gas…

And the United States military is run by a bunch of Generals that are not war fighters..

Germany has been run by a homely hausfrau for nearly over a decade. No one should be surprised that their military is in a sorry state.

Sam Damon-like warriors are an endangered species in today’s military. It’s dominated by Courtney Massengales.

They weren’t all that fearsome when I was stationed there from 77-81.

Didn’t Germany just import a million or so military-age men?

I would venture to say the Russian bloodlines are strong in the German peoples since WWII was lost. Maybe the reason Germany has an aversion to fighting Russians is because their leader is a woman propped up since East Germany by Russian, and she knows literally whose her daddy.

Germany has spent decades believing their socialist fantasies while U.S. taxpayers paid their bills.

Germany is also going to make any excuse not to get involved in conflict with Russia who's supplying their oil.

I am convinced all Western countries have been trying to water down Y chromosome genes (especially any present in Alpha males). And if they can’t do that, they rely on indoctrination and hormones in the food/water to achieve the rest.

it was quite awhile ago....probably 10-years plus, I saw an article that said how the Belgian army spent more on the band than they did on ammunition..

Wow there’s a literary reference from out of the past. Sam Elliot in his first in his first major role. If you discount Lifeguard.

Merkel took all the German cajones and locked them away in a box. Nobody knows where that box is. And it’s probably too late to find it now anyway.

Millions of European warriors died in the 20th century. The warrior gene in the gross population was if not eliminated then severely decimated.

Then there was adaptation and hybridization that resulted in a population of European males incapable of fighting or defending themselves. That is also likely true in Russia but Putin is using a military that might not actually be competent

Europe has relied on the US military for 80 years.
Time for you to spend money and train your countrymen.
Time for globalists to achieve ambient temperature and national pride to rise.

--- "HUH? Thought they German mil were busy checking CONvid vax papers."

When I flew back into Tegel in 2020 -- that airport now closed -- to help move us out of Germany, I was required to go to a testing center adjacent for a "free" Covid test. In order to get there, I had to pass by literally hundreds of travelers in close proximity. When at the testing facility, my assigned examiner was a German woman dressed in fatigues. She wanted to chat a long while to practice her English. Most pleasant, she took me to a specific Charité employee who barely swabbed me, and the next day came the Rote Kreuz message of "negative."

Before her rising to be the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen was the German defense minister. All that NATO money and participation meant and means nothing. Germany has indeed "stood bare" for years now. And will rely on Russian energy for the guidance of the corporatists there. Trump was correct, and Putin has been "smart" compared to all the bright leadership of Germany in their EU.

For your reading, "Germany's Largest Right-Wing Extremist Group is Turkish, not German."

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/17486/germany-extremists-grey-wolves

The attacks on "white" anything from the political Left and "center moderates" (a laughable expression) has been cover for corporatist profiteering and central bank debt creation. The early AfD in Germany attracted the ire of the other parties for its wish to not be part of the Euro and the European Central Bank. Ergo, they were "right wing extremists."

Germany a good chunk of our Western European Allies, barring England wanted to live in a damned bubble, eat, drink, live on the social benefits, and not pull their weight in NATO nor stand up to Putin, they are a joke, a sad one as best, my respect is the Eastern not Western Europe.

“...Putin has been “smart” compared to all the bright leadership of Germany in their EU...” Meanwhile here in apparently barren USA, we allegedly are getting 20% of our import petro from Putin. Yeah, that brandon huh? We were going to fill the truck yesterday at Sams Club and the lines looked like Putin was getting ready to invade us. Looked like the shots we saw of stations in Kiev. No dodging the coming fuel price increase. Frustrated? Uh, yeah. And our two useless senatorettes just keep sending out boiler plate BS about how they’re helping their constituents. NOT!
