A key theme is world history and especially Russian history on the relation between Russia and Ukraine.
Putin's motivation is historically justified as a result of actions over the last century.
I like the thinking of Seth Frantzman...... he is a journalist and not a propagandist
I can't agree, but I also can't disagree because I have no dog in the fight.
I would advise everyone to watch the interview Greg Hunter did with Paul Craig Roberts. Everything we are being told about Russia and Ukraine is a LIE!!!
No Shooting War in Ukraine – Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

The key takeaway I get from Putin’s speech is this:
Wait, you weren’t kidding!! Joe Biden is actually President!?! Wow, in that case it’s party time. Find me some Vodka and get those two hookers that they think Trump partied with on the line. Oh yeah, and send Joe some ice cream.
Whatever power grab Putin orders, pales in comparison to the blatant, outrageous power grab made by democrats and RINO’s in the 2020 election.
The USA is occupied by an illegitimate communist Chinese puppet. Nothing going on in the world today is more evil and corrupt than what the deep state did to the real American president, Donald J Trump.
The Biden regime, the CIA, the FBI, the Defense Department are ALL ROTTEN TO THE CORE!!!!!!
.
It ‘is’ relevant, and accurate.
Thanks for posting!
Arguing that past Russian enslavement of nations gives Russia the right to enslave those nations again is monstrously amoral. Ukrainians don't want to be part of Russia.
You're also showing an ignorance of European history: Every modern state, especially in Europe, has had centuries of changing borders, and the emotional tug of nationalism can lead to demands, ultimatums and often war for territory, power and influence.
Empires come and go. The Soviet/Russian Empire lost the Cold War and imploded. Putin wants to give the illusion he is going to rebuild the empire.
As China grows exponentially with its economy, the Russians fade with their economy.
The Communist USSR died in 1991, but the anti-USSR NATO did not die with it. Instead, NATO has moved right to Russia's borders.
I totally understand why the countries that suffered under Soviet Communist oppression would want to join NATO, modern Russia also has valid security concerns that cannot be dismissed or ignored.
Please study this map for context.

Alexandr Dugin, Putin’s mentor for decades, outlined this action in his books “Eurasianism - An Introduction to Neo-Eurasianism”, and the 4th Political Theory”. Also, another timely read is: “A Strategic Meltdown Over Ukraine Could Doom Taiwan”

“In the mid-1980s, against the backdrop of growing socio-economic problems, the obvious crisis of the planned economy...”
The above is part of Putin’s speech. Note the following: “obvious crisis of the planned economy...”. HE GETS IT.
We have an entire political party CONVINCED that they can ‘get it right’ regarding a ‘planned economy’. No wonder they hate Putin so much. Now things start to make sense.
I keep trying to get my democratic son (who has the typical media inspired hate of Russia) to try and see the situation from Russia’s viewpoint. I think I’ve had a little success.
After saying that I’m no Putin supporter but have to admit I like Russia more than the CCP.
I can’t believe an article like this has made it into the US mainstream but I’m glad it has. For so long the people in the US have been mind farmed regarding Russia. That they are the enemy. That’s because Russia is not NWO and has not been under the control of the cabal.
Personally and I can’t prove it but my belief is that this article is laying out the blueprint of how the borders are going to be rearranged in Eastern Europe and the Mideast when Gesara and Nesara are implemented.
Putin is a member of the Alliance which is why Trump is not the least upset about the moves he’s making in the region. I’m sure Trump has known about this all along.
Even though it may not seem like it things are changing worldwide pretty rapidly.
Good article...I’d also recommend clicking on the link to JP and reading the comments section.
I read it and the man is another history re-organizer.
For the last 100 years he might be correct but what the little snake forgot to say is before Peter The Great and Catherine The Great the Ukraine was NEVER PART OF Russia for centurys. Matter of fact, There was NO RUSSIA and when the very first outpost Moscovi was established, it was part of the Kyevan Russ. The main diff here is that many “Ukrainans” are ethnic mixed-scythian etc, and the Moscovi are ethnic Slaves. It was the Vikings who established Kiev and Novgorod firstly as bascialy trading posts for trade with the eastern Roman empire.
Little friggan Snake.
Like you said, We aint got no business getting into a ethnic battle with these barbarians. And that is what they all are.
“Seth Frantzman...... he is a journalist and not a propagandist”
Sorry, if there is one thing the MSM has taught us is that all “journalists” have agendas, we just need to understand them.
If you read carefully all of this verbiage is supporting a very strained argument by Frantzman about European “colonization” in order to justify a certain position about Israel’s right to the Golan Heights, Jerusalem and other territories.
Maybe Frantzman is one of those Israelis seeking to justify a modern-day Israel from Suez to Damascus, I don’t know, he certainly has the right to advocate that if he wishes, but clearly this journalist has his own historical angles supporting his own agenda.
“Putin’s motivation is historically justified as a result of actions over the last century.”
I disagree.
While some eastern parts of Ukraine (mostly in the east) have had a close association with Russia, dating prior to 1917, other parts did not and the western part had a long 150 year relationship in the Austo-Hungarian empire of the Hapsburgs, and that followed a many centuries long period as part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania - which included Lithuania, some of modern Poland, most of present Ukraine and other neighboring areas. The present outline of Ukraine established post 1945 have parts taken from other states, and containing peoples from them, and gave off parts of Ukraine space to other states. Putin’s use of “history” is very limited and very self-serving when it comes to Ukraine and paints a false Russian-centric view that intentionally ignores some of the most extensive history of Ukraine outside the Russian orbit.
There may be ancient common Ukraine and Russian history in the Kievan Rus, but that alone provides no valid claim on Ukraine by modern Russia.
