Arguing that past Russian enslavement of nations gives Russia the right to enslave those nations again is monstrously amoral. Ukrainians don't want to be part of Russia.
You're also showing an ignorance of European history: Every modern state, especially in Europe, has had centuries of changing borders, and the emotional tug of nationalism can lead to demands, ultimatums and often war for territory, power and influence.
I didn’t make the speech. Putin did
You have gullibly fallen into the Biden Media Propaganda trap. The areas in question are no longer Ukraine and the article says that they have been separate since 2014.
“Every modern state, especially in Europe, has had centuries of changing borders, and the emotional tug of nationalism can lead to demands, ultimatums and often war for territory, power and influence.”
I remember one of my professors in college. Very smart guy, whose classes were not only educational, but entertaining, as well. One of his more pithy observations was: “When dealing with European history, throw away the maps, because they changed every twenty years or so, and they will drive you nuts.”
