If a chance for peace was possible with Vladimir Putin, it vanished Monday with his recognition of two “breakaway” states in eastern Ukraine and his sending of “peacekeepers” — read: Russian troops — into the region.
There are no niceties here: He’s invading Ukraine.
President Biden sanctioned any investment or trade with the regions of Donetsk and Luhansk, but he should pull the trigger on that “mother of all sanctions” he has promised before. There is no leverage with a madman. Punishment is now the only way.

Want to stop Putin in his tracks? Open up drilling for oil and natural gas here in the US, take down the recently instituted re-regulation, and become a net energy EXPORTER, flooding the market and bringing the price of crude down to $50/barrel or less. Start up the shipments of LNG to overseas destinations, and undercut the gas exports of Russia to a mere trickle of what they now are.
But we are dealing with the Joe Stolen/”Que mala” Harris regime here and that would make far too much economic sense in so many ways. Not only would that take a huge bite out of the worldwide “Great Reset”, by slowing the rampant inflation going on against the dollar, but it would set back command-and-control regimes everywhere.

That’s a great idea. Then Russia shuts off all gas to Ukraine and downstream to the EU. You can’t exactly carry on trade with someone who is attacking you, removing you from swift, and embargoing all tech products. Germans freeze, oil and gas prices skyrocket, everyone in America pays 5 bucks and up at the pump and home heating costs double. Our shaky economy staggers harder down to it’s knees.
All because we need to retake the eastern front of WWII.
