The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) declared an unlawful assembly in the downtown area after Los Angeles Rams fans got out of control following the team's win against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI.
"We are seeing violent and destructive behavior by large crowds in the heart of the Downtown LA area. We have issued several dispersal orders and have a large police presence. Everyone that is part of those crowds, obey all dispersal orders and clear the streets immediately," LAPD tweeted.
Videos posted on Twitter showed stores were broken into and looted with some vehicles also being damaged. LAPD ordered the crowd to disperse before moving in and using crowd control munitions. CBS Los Angeles noted LAPD policy does not allow officers to use tear gas or any type of gas for crowd dispersal, but rather foam projectiles.

Sad that folks have to riot and destroy things as their idea of celebrating a victory. Or perhaps there is a larger number of disgruntled ‘other team’ fans in LA than is known.

Looking at the pics it appears that the assclowns are a mix of “fans”. Now that’s equality right there. I saw somewhere that the nfl has ‘donated’ $500 million to underserved communities and ‘bipoc’ causes........... Seems likes someone wasted some money. If this is what you get for $500 million....
I hope persons of color and other minorities had equal representation.

When I read that headline I thought that the LAPD (was the entity) that had been declared to be an unlawful assembly.
Someone needs to go to remedial headline-writing school.
But only white people arrested or detained no doubt. Weird that they would declare it u ,awful,assembly when they did nO such thing when blm was rioting and burning down city blocks

Amazing how that apparently is happening across America this morning.
We can relax, the BLM celebrations, riots, crimes and burglaries apparently were mostly peaceful.
Homeland Security and other Federal agencies apparently did another great job protecting Americans in LA.
