There it is. Whoopsie, Pelosi just gave the game away.
We have been looking for this exact political construct and today we got it. Nancy Pelosi appears on ABC This Week with George Stephanopoulos to discuss current events. This was all planned in advance. This is guaranteed to be a political pantomime.
The first topic is the “Russia-Ukraine crisis,” with Stephanopoulos asking Pelosi directly if she believes Russian President Vladimir Putin is about to invade Ukraine. Nancy Pelosi’s response [Transcript Here] tells us all we need to hear:
PELOSI: “Well, I think we have to be prepared for it. And that is what the president is — yes, I do believe that he is prepared for an invasion. I also understand why the President of Ukraine wants to keep people calm and that he wants his economy not to suffer. But, on the other hand, if we were not threatening the sanctions and the rest, it would guarantee that Putin would invade. Let’s hope that diplomacy works.

Doesn’t matter. Putin was never going to invade, and so when he doesn’t invade, they will give Joe the credit for Putin not invading, even though Putin wasn’t going to invade.

Maybe true, but I can still recall those first years of this century when “Rove!! You magnificent bastard!!!” was found on almost every thread on FR, including mine. Were we all really that stupid then, or are we just pretending we never felt that way?
We didn’t know any better. The emergence of Trump revealed a lot we didn’t know before.

I don’t believe her. Her ability to lie with a Botox face and a mouth full of honey is well documented. I wonder if the possible caving from The president of Ukraine has any truth to substantiate the media story. Putin will get his way through concession or war. The EU countries are a conglomerate of the weak and really fit the meme of the king without clothes with everything but the shoes being sold by the Russian tailors.
If the Ukraine will drop trying to join NATO, everything will be fine. Which is why I expect the US govt to try to stop that.
Putin just played dumb Biden like a fiddle along with the rest of the corrupt war mongering idiots who are pulling Bidens strings. I have a hunch Biden doesn’t even know two thirds of the times what’s going on around him.
