If the protestors were not willing to go to jail, they would not be a part of this action. They know once they give ground - or it is taken from them, then they will be arrested. The government will not let this stand without making every single person an example. Most will lose their businesses and probably be in jail for a significant period. Trudeau doesn’t threaten their children idly. These men and women deserve our utmost respect.
I pray more Canadians come over to their side. They need a lot more people to be involved for this to be successful.

We’ve passed the point where you can just be nice and ignore the left politely.
In this case you are making a flawed assumption that you can reason with the political left. You can’t. They operate under a different World View than you and have a different internal logic. The corrective to bad logic is not, unfortunately, good logic, but force.They are delusional. The believe they are always right. They believe they are immaculately good.
Left-wing ideology is a severe and all encompassing religion that demand total obedience, and advocates complete Jihad against unbelievers.
There is way to compromise with them. You cannot give them face. They must be forced to change. People, like leftist, who are delusional cannot be reasoned with. They can only be forced, restrained, or pushed into new, better or proper ways of thinking.
Note, force does not necessarily, equate to violence, though it may come to that. If it does come to that you are better off with numbers rather than alone in your house.
Many in the US are passively resisting by refusing to shop at stores, ignoring mandates, confronting school boards and local government or voting with their feet and leaving repressive leftist run places. We must support this type of action or lose everything for the foreseeable future. Canada is a good place to start. If it works there, it will be easier in a big nation like the US.
