ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — George Floyd died because his breathing was restricted as he was restrained while handcuffed and facedown, a lung expert testified Monday at the federal trial of three former Minneapolis police officers charged with violating Floyd’s civil rights.
Dr. David Systrom, a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, said Floyd’s upper airway was compressed by Officer Derek Chauvin’s knee, while his position on the hard asphalt with his hands cuffed behind his back did not allow his lungs to expand, cutting off the flow of oxygen.
“Oxygen delivered to the heart and brain is critical to survival,” Systrom said.

And the fentanyl...
"...Additionally, Thomas said her review of the case, including the toxicology reports, allowed her to rule out other causes of death, including a drug overdose. Floyd's death was not "sudden" like it would be with a methamphetamine overdose, she said. And it was not slow like one would see with fentanyl, where "the death is slow, it's peaceful, they fall asleep..."
That's their "expert" speaking.
Speaking of restricted breathing, how do mask mandates affect children’s ability to learn?
Ben Crump and Sharpton need money and new clients the big guy doesn’t share outside the family.
This WAS NOT the conclusion of other examiners.
Leave it to the Leftists to keep trying until they get the
examiner and verdict they like.
I remember testimony that police hear “I can’t breathe” all the time from suspects who are being subdued.
When your breathing is restricted so,badly that you would die from it you can NOT speak clearly and distinctly. Floyd spoke constantly the whole time, and you could clearly see him Breathing, even after he passed out. His breathing was not restricted as evidenced by the many different ang,es of video on the scene. George was taking full breaths and speaking just as clearly as he as when the cops, showed up and were questioning him even before walking to,the squad car. George was complaining that he couldn’t breathe even before, the handcuss were put on him. He was walking away from the cops, unruffled, complaining that he couldnt breathe. The knee on f.oyd’s BACK (as again proved by video) was not the cause of Floyd’s breathing g difficulties.
The defense proved that chauvin’s knee did. Not cut off Floyd’s airway, but the jury was so intimidated by blm and antifa that there was no way that evidence proving Chauvin innocence was going to be accepted
This doctor is just keeping the lie going that Chauvin murdered floyd in cold blood. Why is he doing this? To rile up blm again?
Floyd had like 3 times the amount of fentanyl in his system to kill him, as well as a cpiple, couple, drugs he as overdosed on too, but the liar of a doctor won’t mention that fsct. The amount of fentanyl in his system was ki,Ling him and he woil dhave died by the next morning, likey sooner, had he never been taken into custody. This was, proven by the autopsy report onmthe amount of drugs in his system.
Oh, I agree. Some people don’t seem to understand that.
Maybe if he hadn’t been resisting arrest, he would have drifted off “peacefully” and died like their “expert” maintains.
what was his O2-sat?
Not to mention the shaping of Google returns on people looking for information on it, and censoring by FaceBook and Twitter on
Good riddance to that crook George Floyd.
why was he foaming at the mouth, doctor?
He died because he swallowed the drug he was selling called fentanyl. He would have killed many people for money.
I'm sure there are tons of docs who could say that it was the fentanyl that killed the guy....
when you say "I can't breathe" you actually ARE Breathing....
Why get him out of the back of the car?
What in the name of ‘double jeopardy’ is going on ?
Good Grief.
They have already been tried and convicted of this ‘crime’.
Don’t the Feds and FIBbers have something better to do with their time?
So, NOT an early CONvid death after all?
