Gov. Kate Brown has surpassed her predecessors, John Kitzhaber and Ted Kulongoski, in using her broad clemency authority. Brown said she is using her power as it was intended: to correct injustice, which includes not only reviewing what she sees as harsh sentences in old juvenile cases but also addressing the overrepresentation of Black and Latino people in Oregon’s prisons.
Kate Brown in her final two years in office has become the busiest governor in modern Oregon history – and among the busiest in the country – to use her power to grant mercy to criminal defendants, offering clemency to 1,204 people so far.
But her decisions to commute sentences or pardon people altogether have often left out crime victims and their families, creating a backlash that leaves an indelible mark on her legacy.

Raging sociopath that embraces criminality
So many dumb people with last name Brown. Maybe that’s why the guy who played Charlie Brown killed himself.
I am reminded of the movie Jurrasic Park, when the security fences went dark.

If a criminal is black or hispanic, that is no reason to let that criminal out on the street. He or she is still a criminal.
Or the 2020 election when they kicked out GOP poll watchers and put up cardboard over the windows.
Make a deal. Any released prisoners kill someone after release, the governor gets it. And we have a lottery to see who pulls the switch. The state’ll make millions and millions and millions.

The disease is spreading
A citizens initiative granting Immunity to early released prisoners for any and all crimes against Public Employee’s would fix this problem
Lars Larsen always counters this argument by asking if the prison population should also reflect the sexual make-up of America.

Democrat release more of the Media-Dem Party footsoldiers in their war to destroy America, and as many Americans, as they can.
When the POCs resume their life of crime you won’t hear about it on the news.
Unless the power of governors to let felons loose is in the Constitution, it’s time to pass a law to put an end to it. If a jury rules guilty, you do the time.
