Nationally, the contiguous United States has warmed 1.7 degrees since the 1901-1930 period, Interesting choice of years since the 1930s were notoriously hot. Remember the Dust Bowl? If you look at record temperatures a disproportionately large number of them are from the 1930s. Sure it is warm now when you only compare to cool years.
