House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) told Republican leadership members that he had been informed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) that they were instituting a 25-House member cap for the State of the Union address, Axios reported, citing two sources.
McCarthy said on Tuesday that he was informed of the 25-House member cap by Pelosi, which reportedly upset Republican leaders, including the House GOP leader himself, Axios reported.

By March when this happens I bet we’ll see a huge TV screen erected in Congress and the address will be televised from the WH basement studios. Of course, it will be pre-recorded and edited.

Probably the only time I ever agreed with Pelosi although she is doing the right thing for all the wrong reasons. Personally, this staged event with all the stupid Dem symbolism of wearing white dresses or some other stupid gesture needs to go. The constant partisan cheerleading from the gallery during the speech is annoying. I say empty the chamber and just leave empty headed Joe up there with his teleprompter.

Seems like COVID is pretty much over. But the politicians still need to ramp up the panic and be seen to take “extraordinary measures” because they want that social control. This was never about health.

The state of the union is a constitutional requirement. The president shall from time to time report to Congress on the state of the union. It used tk be a letter but I wonder can the shrieker of the house actually block congress members from attending. It is their constitutional duty to receive the communication.
It’s part of that antiquated checks and balances thing.
Maybe they need an empty house, because people will distract Biden, and make him lose his train of thought.
They have to manage his dementia intensively. It is only a matter of time before it becomes obvious to all.
A GOP no show should be expected, if not those who attend should be routed from office
GOP is screwed either way, go and they will be made to look like they support China Joe. Don’t go, and they will be made to look like they are pouting.
Therefore, I suggest send ONLY those GOP members who are retiring, leaving, etc. They have nothing to lose politically. Find 12 members who are WILLING to stand for the ENTIRE STOU with their back to China Joe.
