The White House indicated Tuesday that Spotify’s attempts to address what they described as coronavirus “misinformation” on podcaster Joe Rogan’s interviews was not a strong enough response to the freedom of speech controversy.
Spotify announced a decision Sunday to include content advisory warnings on Rogan’s interviews about the coronavirus pandemic with sources dissenting from the government narrative about the virus.
“It’s a positive step but more can be done,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said during the daily briefing on Tuesday.
Spotify acted to address the situation after musicians Neil Young and Joni Mitchell asked the company to remove their music from their platform as part of a protest of Rogan’s interviews.
But Psaki called on technology and media platforms to do more to censor what she described as “misinformation” about the virus.
“That certainly includes Spotifly(sic)," she said, mispronouncing the tech platform’s name.

We suggest that Spotify do more to censor the White house!
I really hate these fascist pukes.
This is just so blatant. I cannot believe we are actually hearing this. The Supreme Court has on more than one occasion ruled that the First Amendment prevents anyone in or contracted by the government from pressuring or incentivizing third parties to censor content.
It was ruled that it went beyond laws passed by the congress. If this lawless administration is not reined in we might not have a country in several years.
Fascism is alive and well.
Fascism is alive and well.
Nazi is as Nazi does.
Exactly how is this not a clear violation of the Constitutional right of Freedom of Speech. Where in the constitutional does it say freedom of speech as long as you agree with the Federal Government, NIH, CDC, or crazy liberal-socialists? Certainly some constitutional attorney would have a field day in front of the Supremes with this !
I remember, fondly, a time when the White House would champion freedom, not corporate fascism.
Communism has never been big on Freedom of Speech.
After this stunt by Neil, I deleted all of his music from my playlists. I only listened to his stuff occasionally...as it tends to be a bit dark.
Spotify is going to rake in the listeners as Rogan has show after show on this topic, invites the haters in to talk, they say no, (or yes) and even more listeners join Spotify.
Rogan and Spotify are going to come out of this smellin' like a rose. As Bania would say, "that's gold Jerry. Gold!
I love it. Impotent threats against a guy who has a bigger audience than any MSM outlet. What are these people thinking?
It’s never enough. This was as predictable as the sunrise.
The Leftists are like the Palestinians, no matter how much you try to work with them, there’s always another demand, another requirement to get their approval
in other words, they want a veto over everything we do
they won’t rest until Joe Rogan is CENSORED ... those who dare to deviate from the Government’s Pre-set Narrative must be punished!!

Maybe Biden should also tell newspapers what kind of stories to publish. Or churches what kind of services to hold. After all isn’t that the kind of thing that this country is all about? The Bill of of Rights is so last week. It’s current year yah know.
I love it when the left eats their own. Rogan us squishy left.
I have yet to see a SINGLE FRICKING SPECIFIC EXAMPLE of “misinformation” provided from the vile POS libtard fascist scum...
