Meanwhile, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD was ‘banned’ when a school said it was ‘white savior complex’ and had the “n word” 50 times. Where’s the coverage on that?
If it fits into a (false) narrative, the media just prints their version of events. This is yet another example.

I suspect that by the 9th grade, those kids have seen every
bit of the human anatomy in our k-12 schools.
What’s this nonsense about nudity? Teaching about two men
playing homo pirate is okay, but in a reciting of history
nudity is repulsive, cursing is out of line?
The schools made kids age appropriate for just about anything
these days. They’re trying to turn the kids into overt
flagrant racists. So this topic is to be off limits?
How many people are aware that nine out of ten college
age kids in a recent polling on the street, were unable
to tell the interviewer who Hitler was.
That’s the real reason this can’t be taught. They don’t
want the kids to know anything about history.
I had lunch today with one of my teachers from High School. We’ve stayed friends all these many years; she was only 24 when she started teaching, and I was in one of her first classes my Sophomore year.
Anyhow, she mentioned this book at lunch and how she’s now determined to read it! I love it!

Also Huck Finn has an interesting history of censorship. Long ago the klan and other REAL White supremacists wanted it out of the schools and any traces of it turned because Mark Twain was a staunch abololishionist and the character of Jim, a Black man in some editions referred to as N****r Jim was depicted as a compassionate, intelligent person. Now the woketards want it banned because, well, ya know, IT’S RAYYYYCIST!!

Good point. I’ve read the books a couple of times and I don’t think 8th graders are ready for it on a number of levels. More appropriate for high school juniors and seniors because of some sexuality, language and the nuanced use of different cartoon animals and subtle meanings. I have no problem with what the school board did.
These books are thought-provoking and interesting. It sounds like the kids are not being ordered to read them…they can if they want but it’s not required. Normally if it’s part of a curriculum, the teacher will offer options for kids whose parents don’t want them to read it. I suspect it’s the anti-government message that the district doesn’t like.
Meanwhile, it seems like school districts are fine with trannies, black racism, druggie stuff, etc.
So, all those dead piled up Jews my dad saw while with Patton’s Third Army was just his imagination?
And the LIFE magazine article of the photos of murdered Jews in the areas the Russians recaptured, piled up for burning was fake?

Students learn about the Holocauat at the appropriate age, and as is the case with the trashy books peddled in Loudon schools, books that have nudity and profanity aren’t needed as one can teach what occurred in the Holocaust without resorting to using junk books.
Some kids have been protected to the point that this would be their first shove into the fact that there are some very evil people in the world.
But there are the other kids that are way to aware that there are evil people in the world and until they have a little more time and distance to deal with what happened to them bringing it up is not good.
Which is why I would say this kind of thing should be a consult with the parents time.
Some of the kids are ready, some are not.
We are all individuals.

I will assume you’re being serious here, and so urge you to apply a version Occam’s razor to the situation - the simplest explanation is most often the correct one.
Explanation A: All Nazi “Final Solution” papers were either faked or misunderstood. All eyewitness accounts by camp survivors were either faked or misunderstood. All camp liberator accounts were either faked or misunderstood.
Explanation B: The Holocaust really happened.
Occam’s razor strongly suggests Explanation B.
