The AR-15-style rifle that Kyle Rittenhouse used to shoot three people during a 2020 street protest will be destroyed by the state of Wisconsin and not returned.
The agreement, made among prosecutors, Rittenhouse and Dominick Black — the man who purchased the rifle — was announced Friday morning in court.

You have to ask why prosecutors are even asked their opinion on the matter since Rittenhouse is free and clear. I would wager that its because they are still going after friend Dominick Black for straw sell and this may be part of a plea/settlement.

It’s what Rittenhouse wanted and I think it’s destruction makes it more of a political instrument then just leaving it as a tool. But it’s what he wanted.

The state of Wisconsin should reimburse Rittenhouse for the value of the rifle. I would estimate its about $100,000. Heck, they should give him more for doing law enforcers’ work to control feral rioters.
