Joe Biden is planning to deploy 1,000 troops to Eastern Europe to defend it against Russian aggression alongside several Nato allies, a new report claimed on Wednesday.
It comes a day after he put 8,500 U.S. soldiers on alert to go to the region where Putin is threatening to invade Ukraine.
The president is trying to patch together a ‘coalition of the willing’ of NATO members who would each deploy 1,000 troops, according to CNN.
However, some countries are unwilling to take action and Biden is reserving the right to act bilaterally with just the U.S. and a 'handful' of other countries including the U.K.

And stock up on TP too!
Nodding to the posts here. I’m starting to think that standing up to Russia on this Ukraine issue is not the issue. (especially since we are the instigators) Looking around for the alternative issue. Several candidates named on this thread.
But 2500 troops was too high a military personnel to secure the air base and secure remaining Americans and US supporters in Afghanistan.
I say he practices on someplace like Afghanistan first
Oh wait. Nevermind.
Zelensky to Biden: We paid your crack-head son $83k/month, and this is all we get????!
I can get a better deal from Putin, and still keep my Casino!
lets send all those tough women and LGBTQs and such first, you know they are itching to fight and have something to prove ..
But what, aside from cut and run, is his exit strategy?
How to spell Biden? M-O-R-O-N.
"C'mon guys! let's go fight the Russians on the Eastern Front in the dead of winter! Who's with me?"
Coalition of the willing is a face saving device to cover for the fact that brandon is getting some hard turn-downs from certain allie’s.
Yep.
Hard turn-downs are hard turn-downs. He can’t turn a sow’s ear into a silk purse.
He’s too much of a wuss to just say that Ukraine should be in NATO since 69% of them want that.
Wikipedia:
Some 69% of Ukrainians want to join NATO, according to a June 2017 poll by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation

If Biden had balls he’d say we’re gonna fast-track that NATO application.
I do believe you got the picture; I can’t believe the obsession our political system has with Russia. Just leave them alone, tell NATO go home and work on a peaceful solution. When Russia was under control of a communist regime, I would have had my truthers, but as it is right now; they have less rules and restrictions than we do, as our regime is getting more oppressive each and every day. If I would worry about someone, it would be China.
“Biden is reserving the right to act bilaterally with just the U.S. and a ‘handful’ of other countries including the U.K.”
Nothing like lying. Biden is acting UNILATERALLY...as none of this crap would be going on if his approval wasn’t so low.
“I can’t wait until some Russian ships try to attack our ships...”
I can. They’ll likely sink a carrier because the navy will be too busy having a drag queen contest to watch for incoming.
Sadly, I wish the picture I have was wrong, for the demise of Taiwan would be a tragedy way much larger than most people in the world can imagine.
China has suckered the world into ITS economic web, instead of the other way around, and were China to take Taiwan the U.S., Japan, India and others would have no alternative but to quit China 100% as the only way to seriously oppose that tragedy. The economic disruptions will be global and take likely more than a decade to sort out and build alternate supply chains to compensate for. China will also be hurt economically and could return to being more like North Korea. Most of Asia outside China will rearm heavily and it will cost them dearly as well.
The Dims led in our losing China to Mao and they will lead in losing Taiwan to the CCP. People say that Chiang Kai-Sheck was no better than Mao and more financially corrupt. But the true case in the difference between their political organizations was made by history. Taiwan is a democracy today, China is not. Taiwan is a democracy because it was possible. In China it is not and has never been possible under the CCP.
Will lecture…
I know that you’re being sarcastic, but you may be closer to the truth than we care to admit.
Could be. But Putin and China may have an agreement to get us to push troops in or near Ukraine and leave Taiwan more vulnerable to a real invasion.
