MADISON – Assembly leaders for the second time have rejected a proposal from a Republican lawmaker to pull back Wisconsin's electoral votes cast in the 2020 election, which is illegal. ................
But popular conservative website Gateway Pundit falsely reported the move had been successful. Kari Lake, a Republican candidate for governor in Arizona, then tweeted to her 107,315 followers "**HUGE BREAKING NEWS** -- Wisconsin Assembly Votes to Withdraw Its 10 Electors for Joe Biden in 2020 Election."
As of Tuesday morning, the tweet reporting inaccurate information was still up despite Gateway Pundit recasting the story. The tweet had been liked more than 11,000 times and shared by more than 5,000 people.

As an AZ resident, I can state that Kari Lake appears to be not ready for prime time.
And stealing the election wasn’t?
BINGO!
And GP is far from being ready to be trusted.
The Grifter Pundit, which consistently gets posted here, actually bears most of the responsibility for the lies.
Yeah, we need to stick with CNN and other established news sources.
That’s fine. GOP voters who were disenfranchised in 2020 are free to “reject” the GOP in 2022.
The Constitution doesn’t seem to mean much nowadays.
They do that a lot.
GP one of the best, most reliable news sources. Far better than WP, NYT, and other MSM organs.
Don't get me wrong, my motive in posting this was to debunk what GP said yesterday.
We need to act on what is true, and two things that are very true are:
1. The Democrats got away with another election theft.
2) The GOP does not have the balls to take any action on it.
In seeing the posted piece yesterday my first thought was: Let's give this 24 hours before we get our hoped up
Nope. Because it was for a democract.
It’s only unconstitutional if it’s “stolen” for a republican.
It’s right after the right to an abortion in the constitution
I have to question the intelligence of a candidate who relies on Gateway Pundit's "bombshells".

It is black letter law too:
Fraud vitiates everything.
About as many as NPR's phoney story about the Supreme Court and masks.
If the statute of limitations has expired by the time the error is discovered, the bank can't do a damn thing about it.
Think of "election fraud" in the processes and procedures of a presidential election like a crime where the statute of limitations is measured in weeks, not years -- specifically, the approximately six weeks of time that pass between Election Day and the formal casting of electoral votes in December (December 15th, in the case of the 2020 election).
If you don't identify the problem and address it before the electoral vote, you can't fix it afterward.
