Eric Clapton Claims People Vaccinated Against COVID-19 Are Under ‘Hypnosis’
New York Post ^ | January 24, 202 | Hannah Sparks

Eric Clapton’s career “had almost gone anyway” until his campaign against conventional medicine took off.

The 76-year-old musician went on the Real Music Observer YouTube channel to discuss how his life has changed since reluctantly taking AstraZeneca’s therapy in 2021. Clapton has since become outspoken about his anti-vaccination stance.

He claimed that he’d been duped into getting the COVID-19 jab by subliminal messaging in pharmaceutical advertising — and urged others not to fall for it. “Whatever the memo was, it hadn’t reached me,” he said, referring to the “mass formation hypnosis” conspiracy theory, which gained traction in 2021 as part of anti-vaccine propaganda. (In related circles, it’s also been called “mass formation psychosis.”)

I listen to Eric Clapton for music. Medical/social opinions, not so much. In fact not at all.

How dare he think for himself after he lost his ability to play the guitar.

Claiming you were hypnotized by subliminal messages in pharmaceutical advertising into doing something against your will isn't exactly "thinking for yourself."

“I listen to Eric Clapton for music. Medical/social opinions, not so much. In fact not at all.”

It’s not a medical opinion. It’s a musical opinion, observation. He is sharing that if you work with fine coordination of your hands, this might happen to you, it happened to me.

If the medical community would do it’s job then others would not have to do this and venture into territory where they’re accused of practicing medicine

I imagine this guy lives to play guitar. Listen to not only his releases, but George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’, The Beatles ‘Something’ for instance. I know they’re 50 years old but this is not a guy who’s going to go into retirement watching football, fishing with his buddies, playing golf.

He’s trying to explain to at least himself why he did this.

Peripheral neuropathy is incompatible with guitar playing.

And peripheral neuropathy is simply not in any way ever considered an allergic reaction.

That was never good enough for me.

I wouldn’t say “hypnosis.” It’s more like a sudden, terrible realization that you may have done something really, really bad to yourself out of fear. Not wanting to face that realization can lead folks down some very strange pathways that are certainly self-deception. But probably not hypnosis.

Eric Clapton described how the Jim Jones Jab affected his hands and thus his guitar playing ability. He warned others who had not yet gotten the clot shot. There are those who can be grateful for the chance to listen to him when it comes to medical impact information.

He also warned about how many so-called "friends" turned on him for warning others about what the shots had done to him. It's good to hear someone tell the truth about social interactions.

I got the jab because I hoped that the government would see that 70% of the adult population had gotten the jab and would cancel the lockdown and let us go mask free. Said process worked for several months and now it is back to using a mask. I will not get a booster. Novavax supposedly will have a real vaccine ready by about April. I may wait till May or June to see how that jab is going. Eric Clapton is getting a bit looney in his later years. I wonder if he is still allowed to drive a car? Otherwise, he is an incredible guitar player.

Why would 70% of people getting the vaccine cancel anything? People with the vaccine still spread hte virus.

It’s fine for the linear thinkers. ‘Why can’t you be more like your sibling?’

Never good enough for the people coming up with great new ideas

We love them. They’re nurses and pilots and so forth. Parents do well to guide the creative ones into safety, character judgement, moral compass and then let them go.

Clapton was merely speaking of the widespread pro-vaccine propaganda that dulls people’s judgment and stifles debate, not literal hypnosis. And “mass formation psychosis” is not a “conspiracy theory,” but a psychological phenomenon that has been in the literature for decades. How are Clapton’s statements any worse than the left’s constant references to a “Trump cult”?

The kid, who at 4 years old says he doesn’t want to have a play date with your friend’s kid because he doesn’t like him, if you do what he asks and cancel, not only do you get a deal maker who’ll do the same for you, but is often the kid who, at 19, will say, nah, I don’t want to go out and get wasted at a stupid frat party I’m kinda doing well in class right now, because he’s not in school for his pre Rs. He’s in there for himself and isn’t passive aggressive about it.
