LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — The interim vice provost for diversity at the University of Kansas has resigned after acknowledging that a message he sent out to the campus on Martin Luther King Jr. Day was largely plagiarized.
D.A. Graham’s resignation was accepted Wednesday and is effective immediately, Provost Barbara Bichelmeyer said.
Graham, interim vice provost of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, told the Lawrence Journal-World on Monday that he didn’t intentionally plagiarize the “2022 MLK Jr. Day of Reflection” text he sent to all faculty, staff and students.
“It was an oversight on my part,” Graham said. “I was trying to hurry up and get the message together.”
“Plagiarism is never acceptable behavior – for students, faculty, staff, or administrators,” she said.
Bichelmeyer said a search for a permanent vice provost of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging already was scheduled to begin at the start of this semester.

They value diversity over quality. It stands to reason, diversity department employees are lower quality employees.
Oh, the irony.
Oops. Equity means everybody but the ruling class elites will be equally poor.
“It was an oversight on my part.” I guess he figured saying it was just a joke - the tried and true dem rationalization for all kinds of offenses - wouldn’t quite fly. And trying to get it done at the last minute; good academic time management example for students.

He should have pointed out Biden is/was a Plagiarist.

“Diversity” = anti-white, anti-asian, anti-talented people, anti-conservatives and libertarians.
It means narrow minded group-think.
It is the enemy of a civilized society.
Shouldn’t they be giving him a pass? I mean after all, it’s racist to hold him to such stringent standards, is it not?
He'll get another similar job somewhere else.
Hypocrites. MLK,Jr. plagiarized over 80% of his doctoral thesis and the meat in several of his speeches. Because MLK,Jr., was black he was given a pass by those that coddled and accepted his indiscretions. If MLK,Jr., was held to the same ethical standards as have the former Confederates, his statues and monuments would be toppled in a heartbeat.
So he emulated MLK who was also guilty of plagerism.

I realize it would be blasphemous to even think about the need for such a position.
Same way King got his degree.
Republicans need to screw-up the courage to attack the diversity officers — they are promoting discrimination and the denigration of standards.
How can an institution of higher learning possibly survive without a vice provost of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging? This is a crisis!
I’ll bet he voted for Biden...
