Trilateral naval drills between China, Russia and Iran start on Friday

"The purpose of this drill is to strengthen security and its foundations in the region, and to expand multilateral cooperation between the three countries to jointly support world peace, maritime security and create a maritime community with a common future," the Iranian official told ISNA.

Both navies from Iran's armed forces and Revolutionary Guards will take part in the drills, which include various tactical exercises such as rescuing a burning vessel, releasing a hijacked vessel, and shooting at air targets at night.

Taiwan is a fortress and they have had over 70 years to prepare.

A fortress can be overcome when they realize that they're defending against a much more powerful enemy, and surrendering rather than fighting and losing, becomes a very obvious alternative.

Plus, as witnessed in the past year, the U.S. cannot be counted on to help against China. China knows that the U.S. has a president who is very compromised, and Biden (and democrats) know it, so, back to my initial argument, Taiwan is easy pickings, even if very fortified.

With the U.S. not trustworthy to help a friend, WWIII is not a consideration, therefore, China and Russia have open roads towards invasion of their targets.

Don't start with that bullshit. Russia and China have been allies since soviet times, even during the alleged Sino-Soviet Split, which was a fake split per KGB defectors. China is one of Russia's biggest client states for weapons and military technology purchases, and they have cooperated in military drills/agreements/etc for years now. Same with North Korea, which received modern targeting tech from Russia within the past few years per Japanese analysis of NK's sudden and speedy increase in missile technology. And of course, Iran receives all this same technology through North Korea. The same is also true for all the other communist countries and even communist terrorist groups. They have all been clients of Russia, not just in Soviet times, but even to recent years.

They have been conducting military exercises together for many many years. The weapons transfers have been going on for many many years. And your remark about the Sino-Soviet split is also silly.
