When it comes to the manufacturing and use of automobiles, the U.S. government enforces a long list of regulations.
In the name of safety, federal law requires that all new automobiles include seat belts, air brake systems, airbags and so on.
Thanks to the massive infrastructure bill passed in November and signed into law by President Joe Biden, the government soon will be enforcing a new regulation -- one that gives federal authorities the ability to shut off your vehicle at any time.

Buried on page 403 of the legislation, the provision requires "advance drunk and impaired driving prevention technology" to be built into all new cars.
This technology will be able to "passively monitor the performance" of all drivers, suggesting this system will be on at all times.
If the data indicate the driver is "impaired," the system will "prevent or limit motor vehicle operation," according to the legislation.
The measure is set to take effect in 2025.
While the legislation claims these precautions will be used to limit the number of drunken drivers on the road -- a noble goal -- many are speculating that the mandated kill switches could be used in other situations as well.

New business opportunity to disable cars from the web
This is why I stopped buying GM vehicles years ago. Onstar can disable your vehicle and you can’t buy a GM vehicle without it.
This is a complete INSULT to persons who do not even drink.
Sure. Like anyone could hack into their systems.... LOL! Guess I need to find a 57 Chevy and build it with minimal electronics.
"I saw what you posted on Twitter, Dave. Your social performance is lacking."
"Hey, start my car! I need to get to work!"
"I afraid I can't do that, Dave."
Wokies can kill your car.
Think about this...let’s say you published an unapproved article critical of the government. Or you showed up at a school board meeting and protested what was being taught to the kids. Or you attended a rally for an unfavored candidate.
Now imagine driving back home to say, Minnesota or North Dakota. It is winter. You are on a rural road. It’s very cold. They shut your car down.
Or you live in Arizona. It is summertime. It is over 110 degrees. You are miles from the nearest store. All of a sudden you car stops. Nothing on it works.
Who is Michael Hastings?
So if someone doesn’t like your conservative social media posts, your gun purchases, your GOP registration, refusal to get a shot, or etc. they’ll retaliate by disabling your car.
That’s what this is about.
Their STATED reason is NEVER their REAL reason
So when I start swerving to avoid the potholes that the Build Back Bolshevik bill failed to fix then my car will shut down thinking I’m drunk.
They had to pass the law to let us know what is in it.
My respect for those who drive and/or restore older vehicles grows by the day. Granted, parts for old cars aren’t particularly easy to get, but I’m guessing that if they can’t be gotten by conventional methods, a black market-type setup will always exist as long as the knowledge of how to make the parts survives.
the GOP and DNC want to control and tax your every move,
except when they SELL YOU to the Vatican or Malta
or their INSURANCE companies.
they are the EVIL that sold out America.
Post of the day.
These are the Assistant Democrats that voted for it.

The Democrats needed GOP help and they got it.
We have to stop re-electing Assistant Democrats.
In 2014 the EU wanted to create a kill switch for cars. It hasn’t really come to anything yet.

Betcha any vehicle made prior to this law, but upgradable with software, will be required to do this in updates.
aka son bought Tesla in 2017. So he will be plagued with woke control as of an update.
From here on to be named the Ted Kennedy kill switch.
