Music icon Stevie Wonder on Tuesday pressed Senate lawmakers to enact a rules change in order to pass voting rights legislation, saying the filibuster “is not working for democracy.”
In a video message posted on his YouTube channel, Wonder expressed his thoughts about the voting rights bill that Senate Democrats are expected to meet about on Tuesday.

Here’s what I’m sick of, these black, ultra wealthy, adored entertainers and athletes, preaching about racism, white privilege, and the latest, voter laws. He doesn’t know what the hell he is talking about, he has been given break after break since he was a young blind boy, trying to make his way singing. I don’t ever remember thinking “ooooh he’s black, I thought “ahhhh, he’s blind” so endured his not great entertaining. He is still blind, still rich and now he is black.
Come back next year and you can change your tune, you hack!

Great idea for a reality show. Drop a bunch of clueless celebrities on a remote island, and see if they can form their own society. No behind the scenes crew to pamper them, and no rescue if (when) they get into trouble. I’d definitely pay to watch that. I’d even pay a little more for the bonus episode in which a crew comes in to remove the bones.
