Newly-minted Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin started his first day in office with a bang that could reverberate across the nation as a signal to other governors on the fence between the people and the donor class.
Signing a slate of executive orders, Youngkin fulfilled some of the biggest promises he made to voters during his groundbreaking gubernatorial run. The orders include:
Youngkin also pledged to “restore integrity and confidence” in the state Parole Board, a move bolstered by the appointment of new Attorney General Jason Miyares, who has already announced he will begin the prosecution of criminal activities in districts in which Soros-backed District Attorneys refuse. There are also provisions for fighting human trafficking and antisemitism. Youngkin signed the orders immediately after his Saturday, January 15th inauguration.
Executive Order Number One delivers on his Day One promise to restore excellence in education by ending the use of divisive concepts, including Critical Race Theory, in public education.
Executive Order Number Two delivers on his Day One promise to empower Virginia parents in their children’s education and upbringing by allowing parents to make decisions on whether their child wears a mask in school.
Executive Order Number Three delivers on his Day One promise to restore integrity and confidence in the Parole Board of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Executive Order Number Four delivers on his Day One promise to investigate wrongdoing in Loudoun County.
Executive Order Number Five delivers on his Day One promise to make government work for Virginians by creating the Commonwealth Chief Transformation Officer.
Executive Order Number Six delivers on his Day One promise to declare Virginia open for business.
Executive Order Number Seven delivers on his Day One promise to combat and prevent human trafficking and provide support to survivors.
Executive Order Number Eight delivers on his Day One promise to establish a commission to combat antisemitism.
Executive Order Number Nine delivers on his Day One promise to withdraw from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI).
Executive Directive Number One delivers on his fulfilling his Day One promise to jumpstart our economy by cutting job killing regulations by 25 percent.
Executive Directive Number Two delivers on his fulfilling his Day One promise to restore individual freedoms and personal privacy by rescinding the vaccine mandate for all state employees.

Both Governor Youngkin and Lieutenant-Governor Winsome Sears have been very vocal about turning away from government overreach and restoring as much power to the people as possible. Perhaps the one order that could have significant ripple effects in the national education sector is the pledge to support the parents of Loundon County by investigating violations and corruption in their school district and adjacent bureaucracies.
Time will tell if Virginians start seeing significant improvements in their state, but there is no doubt the gauntlet has been thrown down, and the challenge will be carrying this momentum of the citizenry through 2022 and 2024.

Awesome to see! I’m in Richmond and this is like releasing shackles!
out of the darkness, into the light
This is fantastic.
Unfortunately, the country seems to be destined to be whipsawed back and forth as R and D win alternate elections.
Anybody teaching the clown critical racist theory to white American children should be arrested and thrown in jail. It’s a fruitcake theory and the holidays are over.
I sort of gave up on VA.
Amazing that he’s doing this.
I could see some of the loony woke school systems refusing to obey his orders on CRT, or repackaging the CRT garbage in a way where they could claim they’ve stopped teaching it. What will he do then?
Virgin1a picked a winner.
I hope the GOPers in the legislature don’t sell out to the Big Bucks and stab him in the back like what happened to Trump.
We need good news, and this is good news.
Can’t wait for Day Two.
I’d call that a good start
Now…if he can keep traffic moving on I-95 in tomorrow’s snowstorm…
I can hear the woketards, with MLK Day just 2 days away, REEEEEEE!😃😜😃😜😜 Gov Youngkin is off to a flying start
WOW!!!!
WOOHOO!!!!
An awesome start. Makes me want to move to Virginia.
Way to go, Governor Youngkin!
